I stared at my phone nervously thinking of all the possible bad things he could say to me. I slipped on my shoes and walked out of the dorm building and walked to where he would pick me up when we go hang out. It's always been pretty far to not raise suspicion, it's like a five-minute speed walk. I made it to the spot and waited, and there I saw him pull up in his car. He leaned over and opened the passenger side door. I slipped into the car and closed the door. He lightly rubbed his face as he sighed and looked at me. This made me grow nervous.
"We can't hang out anymore."
"Why..?" I knew this was coming...
"Because I'm a villain and you're almost a hero."
"So? You're still my brother!" My heart felt like it shattered.
"Family or not, I'm doing this to protect you."
"And what's wrong with being with my big brother?"
"I'm a villain, this life is dangerous. I'm trying to protect you from this and from the heroes who'll think you're going bad."
"But...you just came back into my life."
"I know, but I don't want Shigaraki to use you against me, and I don't want Toga to hurt you again."
"So that's it? No more big brother Touya again?"
"I said to not call me that." Red liquid brimmed his eyes.
"So you're running away from your family again? I thought you cared about us, you sure as hell acted as you did!"
"I do care about you! I'm doing this to protect you!"
I got out of the car with tears streaming down my face. "I hope you know, I prayed to your shrine dad put up every day. Hoping you were alive and would come back." And with that, I slammed the car door shut and ran back to the dorms crying. After so many years of thinking, he was dead or hurt somewhere, he comes back and acts as a big brother to me. Then he just leaves me, again. I made it to the ground floor of the dorms, I was vigorously wiping my eyes to get rid of the tears. My eyes hurt and my vision was blurry from how rough I was wiping the tears away. I ignored all the people looking at me, they all seemed shocked and concerned. I guess they never thought they would see a Todoroki break down.
