Seventy-one years since the end of the war and Nayoko dreamt again. She was back in the Kingdom capital, sword in one hand and shield in the other as she approaches Alice. She charges and raises her blade, but feels Alice's greatsword connect with her shoulder before she can swing. It cuts through steel and across her chest. She falls onto the wet mud of the battlefield instead of into Alice's arms, watching as black spots dance in her vision. When she sees the familiar blonde, fair-skinned woman extend outstretched arms towards her, Nayoko allows her breathing to still. There was a flash of movement and someone else was suddenly close. Helena's embrace was so, so cold.
She wonders where Helena is now.
