When you opened your eyes, you found yourself in your bed. You knew it was morning because of the sun peeking through your window which seemed extra bright today. You looked around confused, you couldn't remember how you got to bed. You vaguely remembered anything after you and Loki had shots.

You shot up. Loki. You looked under the covers and felt relief wash over you when you saw you were still in last night's dress. He must have brought you to bed after the party.

You caught yourself smiling and quickly straightened your face.

You dragged yourself out of bed and made your way into the kitchen, still in your dress and yesterday's makeup. Steve was there, making breakfast. He seemed fine, which didn't surprise you because you knew he didn't drink much.

"Hey", he called to you.

"No, too loud"

You covered your face with your hands, had the sun always been this bright?

Nat walked in a second later, looking just as bad as you. She slumped down on the couch and pulled a blanket over her head, no doubt shielding herself from the sun as well.

"Breakfast anyone?" Steve asked.

"I don't think eating is a good idea, I'll just have coffee and about twenty aspirins"

"Same for me", Nat groaned from the couch.

After you had downed a cup of coffee and aspirin you sighed.

"Has anyone seen Loki?"

Steve and Nat shot each other a look, which you pretended not to see.

"I haven't seen him since the party", Nat smirked, "why? Did something happen?"

You threw the aspirin bottle at her, hoping to hit her for that comment. You were a little disappointed when she caught it effortlessly.

"No, I was just wondering"

"He's probably somewhere skulking around", Steve chimed in.

Nat threw the aspirin bottle back and you walked out of the room to track down Loki.

You finally found him on the roof. He was sitting on a bench and looked deep in thought. You approached him quietly and he didn't notice your presence. You watched his face as he looked out onto the city. He looked like he was mumbling something under his breath.

He finally noticed you as you sat down next to him. Embarrassment flashed on his face but was gone before you could even recognize it.

"Hey"

You held out the aspirin bottle, offering him some. He took the bottle and popped two in his mouth. You knew that amount wouldn't help a god, but you didn't say anything.

"Hey, what happened last night?"

"Not much, you tried to go to sleep in the elevator"

You smacked your head into your hands, suddenly remembering.

"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have drank that much"

He smiled and nudged you.

Don't be sorry

It was still a weird feeling, having his voice in your head. Something about it always gave you butterflies.

You wanted to ask him what he was thinking about when you found him but didn't want to make him uncomfortable. You had a silent debate but in the end, curiosity won.
