Last night was restless, your revelation had been bouncing around your mind all night. You didn't want to admit you were starting to feel something for him, but you couldn't lie to yourself any longer.

Feeling like an idiot, you groaned. It's not like he would ever feel something for you, so what was the point. Reaching over to grab your phone, you checked the time, it was six in the morning.

You had been in and out of sleep all night and you yawned as you decided to get up and shower.

After a hot shower, you changed into leggings and a hoodie, grabbed your book, and headed out. Just as you'd expected, no one was in the living area. You chose the couch closest to the window and sat down. Looking out, you watched as the city started to wake up.

The sunrise was beautiful, as always, and you watched the deep colors fade to blue. You tried reading your book for a bit, but couldn't give it your full attention.

Sighing, you gave up on reading and watched the now fully awake city.

The sound of footsteps behind you made you turn around. Tony smiled at you as he walked over to the coffee pot and poured himself a cup.

He sleepily walked over to you and slumped down. You knew he'd been up all night, working on something new, using it as an excuse to avoid sleep.

"What's got you up so early?" he asked.

You bit your lip, you wanted to talk to him about your situation with Loki, but you didn't know if it was a good idea. You didn't even know what you're feeling, how could you convey your thoughts to someone else.

In the end, you chose to open up to him. It was Tony, after all, you trusted him.

"Can I talk to you about something?"

As soon as your words left your mouth, you regretted them.

"Sure, kid, anything"

You threw your head back dramatically and groaned.

"Nevermind"

He sat up straight.

"Hey, you have to tell me now"

You gave him the side-eye, he was so nosy.

"Fine" you started, "last night I was thinking-"

The words lumped in your throat like coal and you had to struggle to get them out.

"I was thinking that I might be starting to feel something for Loki"

Tony rolled his eyes dramatically.

"What?" you asked.

"Oh come on, like we all already couldn't tell"

You stared at him in shock.

"What- how?"

"We're not blind"

"But I didn't even realize this until last night"

He gave you a look, and your face flushed. He had to be messing with you.

"You think we don't notice when your eyes lock for just a second too long?"

You were at a loss for words, not even you had recognized all that. He nudged you playfully and laughed.

"Don't overthink it, kid"

Tony left, leaving you alone with your mind racing.

...

You didn't see Loki all day, not that you had been avoiding him. Maybe you had been, but you couldn't face him right now.
