A/N: sorry it took me so long to update, things kept coming up!! Also side note, sorry if her last day in Asgard feels rushed I lost the inspiration to write about Asgard so it goes fast sorry!

Your last day in Asgard had come and you promised yourself you would make the most of it.

You woke early and quickly bathed and dressed. After deciding on a detailed blue dress to wear, you ventured out to find breakfast.

Loki and Thor were already in the dining hall, talking to Frigga. They all greeted you as you came in and you chose a seat across from Loki, earning you a look from him. He wanted you to sit next to him, but you couldn't help but feel guilty about what had happened last night.

You avoided eye contact as best you could, stealing glances when you thought he wasn't looking. The few times your eyes did meet, you could see the uncertainty written all over his face.

After breakfast, Thor took you to practice sword fighting. The bond you had formed with Thor resembled a sibling relationship and he never failed to remind you. He teased you about your posture and stance and you jokingly threatened to go find a better teacher.

After a couple of hours, you groaned and dramatically fell onto the floor.

"I'm done, you've been training all your life, I can never compete"

"Not with that attitude"

You kicked him and he laughed. He held out a hand and you let him help you up. The two of you called it a day and you went back to your room to freshen up. You had really wanted to make the most of today, but your body ached from training so you decided you read the book Loki had recommended.

The book was about a young boy who had always felt like an outcast in his town. He was bullied and mocked until one day, he saves a woman from drowning. After that, he is praised but never feels satisfied that he is only accepted after the incident. He leaves his town one night to find a better life, only to discover that the world is an even crueler place. In the end, he returns home and embraces the townspeople, forgiving them for their years of torment.

As you read, you saw how Loki must relate to this boy. He had always felt like an outcast and he was definitely treated as such by Odin. You hoped one day he would be accepted and choose to make peace with his past.

Your eyes grew heavy as you read, and after pushing sleep away as long as you could, you drifted off.

Though you barely remembered what he looked like, you dreamt of your father. You dreamt you saw him standing outside your window, waiting for you to join him outside. Eagerly, you ran out to him, only to find that he was gone. You looked around desperately and saw him standing in the distance. Running to him again, you became distraught when he had moved yet again. No matter how much you tried, he was always just out of your grasp.

You shot up, a thin layer of sweat covering you. Looking outside, you saw that it was dark and you hoped you wouldn't be late for dinner.

After bathing quickly, you chose a dark green dress to wear. This one was truly beautiful, complete with intricate gold designs, perfect for your last night.

Upon entering the dining room, you went over to sit next to Loki. You still felt guilty about last night, but he was your friend, and you wanted to sit next to him.

When he saw you, he instantly got up to greet you. He looked you up and down in awe, which made you blush, but you looked away, hoping he wouldn't notice.

You look amazing

Thank you, Loki

You sat down next to him and said hello to Frigga and Thor. You had the feeling Frigga suspected you and Loki were communicating telepathically, but you were grateful she didn't mention anything.
