January 2nd, Time is 8:00 am, 5 miles North from Azur lane port
The soon to be welcomed new commander is getting ready to drive his ship, retracting the anchor and to go to the port and drop his anchor there. But before he does this, he had a sudden yet risky idea. He wanted to assess Azur lane's capabilities of repelling a Siren attack but currently, Tempest has not detected any Sirens nearby though there were reports about increased Siren patrols which is confirmed to be false.
Thus, he came to a conclusion of making a practice battle simulation using his own ship as the target. His ship Tempest is considered the most powerful battleship with the toughest armor, quick reload, impressive firepower and can sail at a speed much faster than the all of what Azur lane's ship girl speeds combined. His plan is to first tour the island then before ending, assess them with the simulation.
Guardian: This idea is worth trying though I don't know whether the ship girls can handle it. They are going to face against the most battle hardened ship of humanity. Give me your opinion, Tempest.
Tempest: First, thank you for the compliment. Second, if we use actually rounds, there is a high risk of getting them injured so rubber ammunition is required and third, the state of their base is quite alarming so I personally do not think its a plausible idea for now.
Guardian: Yes I agree. They won't stand much of a chance against us. I think it will be wise to hold off the simulation after things are sorted. Thanks for your opinion.
Tempest: No worries, partner. Ship girl health and safety is our number 1 priority. We can think about this later.
Guardian nodded.
While Guardian and Tempest are discussing about the matter, back in Azur lane base...
Enterprise and Belfast are leading the preparations for the arrival since they would be the first two to greet him then give a tour around the island.
Belfast: Our tasks are nearly complete, Enterprise. Since the commander is coming around 12:00 pm, we should be finishing before then.
Enterprise: The only problem we have is the commander's evaluation. Even if we were able to show that we still have good results, he is going to be the one deciding in the end. I just hope that Azur lane does not shut down.
Belfast seeing Enterprise's sad expression so couldn't help comforting her and reassuring about it though she is also feeling sad herself.
Belfast: Azur lane is our home and we will do our best to protect it.
