Chapter 12 - A Dream

Time Unknown, Place Unknown,

Guardian's POV,

Guardian: ...Where am I? Everything is dark, can't see anything. Am I in a dream? *Sigh* I guess I have to walk around to find out.

Surrounded by darkness, Guardian blindly walked to wherever he thinks is right even if he can't see anything ahead or behind him. After walking for a while, in the far distance he sees a small ball of light coming in his direction. As soon as it got close to him, it then starts to distance itself and move away from him.

Guardian: What's this? Its going away from me. Maybe it is like a torch showing me the way to somewhere. I guess I just have to follow this light.

He follows the light for several minutes until it stops.

Guardian: Well, I followed you hoping to get somewhere and now it looks like you stopped so it means I got nowhere. Great.

Suddenly, the ball of light drops down in front of him until it landed somewhere in the darkness and starts bouncing in a direction.

Guardian: What the hell? (looks down)

He slowly shifts his left foot near where it dropped and felt no surface. Confused yet determined to reach to the light, he bend down to find a piece of stick lying around him so he picked it up and threw it down the path only for it to land several meters below him making a sound. Even though he cannot hear anything, he decided to make a leap of faith to whatever is down there ignoring the darkness.

Guardian: It's not that far, I can jump down but what I am worried is of what's down there. Oh well, time to take the leap of faith. Here goes. (jumps down)

*Clang*

Guardian: What the...is this...metal?

Slowly, he touches the surface on which he landed on and felt the smooth surface to find out.

Guardian: Wait...this type of surface is made for ships as far as I know. Perhaps I am on a ship of some sort.

Guardian continues walking to the ball of light floating in the far distance until he reaches it for only it to start moving again. 

Guardian: Alright buddy. Where are you going take me this time? 

The ball of light starts moving again and he follows behind it. For a few minutes they moved then suddenly, the surface on which he is walking on starts vibrating at a violent rate startling him.

Guardian: Shit!

Guardian tries to stable himself but he soon found himself being thrown in the darkness filled air. With such speed, he collided against another metal like obstacle nearly knocking himself out.

Guardian: UGH!!!

Guardian's head hangs low and in pain as if he hit his head with something hard then blacked out.

???: Hey.

...

???: Hey there.

...

???: You alright there, soldier?

Guardian: Ugh! Huh?

???: Are you alright, son?

Guardian: W-Wha-

???: Looks like you hit yourself pretty hard there. Do you want me to get an ice pack?
