The rest of the night was a haze and I don't remember what happened after Liam kissed me ... All I know is that I kissed him back and nothing more. I smile to myself at the thought from last night and I look under the covers to see Liam's arm thrown over my body, holding me close to him. Suddenly reality hits - Carter.

Liam is still snoring lightly, but his hold on me is tight. I shift around in his arms to place a soft kiss on his cheek before slowly taking his arm off of me, not wanting to wake him up. When I place his arm in between our bodies, he stirs and flips over, his back now facing me and I giggle quietly.

I quietly push the covers off of me and make my way to the bathroom. I close the door behind me, and look in the mirror. I don't think I'll ever get used to this, I say to myself as I run my hands through my short hair. I shake my head and turn on the cold water in the sink to wash my face.

I place my hands on the sink counter and lean on it after I wake myself up a bit, and I start to think ...

Regardless of how many times I push Liam away, I know we'll always come back to each other. It could be for better or worse; I wouldn't know right now. He's the negative and I'm the positive, or vice versa. It's all about compromise and finding a balance. If we can work on that, we'll be able to move forward.

"Coming!" I hear Liam groan from the other side of the door and the shuffling of the covers. I didn't hear someone knocking on the door ...

I unlock the bathroom door to pop my head out to see a worried-looking Carter march into our room with a shirtless Liam standing to the side. "The two of you need to come with me," she says frantically. "We're having an emergency meeting."

I come out from behind the bathroom door and Carter's eyes grow wide when she notices my recent makeover. "What the fuck did I miss?" she almost shouts.

"We'll talk about my transformation later," I say. "What's going on?"

"When the two of you compose yourselves, come downstairs immediately," she says quickly and marches out.

Liam closes the bedroom door and starts biting his lip. "What do you think is going on?" I ask him nervously. He shakes his head, but doesn't give me an answer as he continues to stand by the door. "Go get dressed."

He nods and slowly goes over to his side of the bed to take out clean clothes. "Something's wrong," he breathes out.

"Why do you say that?" I say, pulling a clean shirt over my head.

He shrugs. "It just seems that way." I nod and wait for Liam to finish getting ready, but he pauses to look at me. "You can go without me, if you want."

"Alright," I say. "Don't take too long." I walk to the door and open it, but before I leave, I look back at Liam with his back facing me. He stops moving when he takes hold of a new shirt and I can hear him breathing heavily. "Liam ..."

"Go," he cuts me off through gritted teeth and I jump a little. I nod, even though I know he can't see my silent gesture and I quickly close the door behind me to leave Liam alone to his thoughts.

"Where's the boss?" Rooney asks when he sees me walking down the stairs. "Lookin' good, by the way."

"He'll be here shortly," I snap at him, not wanting to go into detail of Liam's current mood and my new look. I walk behind the group of people who are sitting together on the floor or on the couch. "Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on?"

"If all of you would look at the screen here, you will see a voice recording," Carter says as she walks into the living room. "Where is he? He needs to be here."
