Sean's POV.

Hugo fell down and Officer Hawkins stood there in shock with a gun in her hand.

She shot Hugo.

I walked towards the man and checked his pulse.

None.

"He's dead." I spoke while looking at Hawkins.

"I had to. If not he could have shot Catallina or Leonardo." I said looking at her shocked face.

This is her first time she killed someone so I just held her hoping she will be fine.

I know how it feels. No sane person is used to feel nothing after killing someone.

After sometime when I was sure she was fine, I went to check up on Cata.

All this drama and misfortunes might cause her stress which is not good for her especially now that she's pregnant.

"Are you ok?" I ask. She just nods.

"Anytime now, the Paramedics will come and check if you are fine." I tell her and before she speaks Leonardo talks.

"That won't be necessary. Our ride is here." Right on time, a helicopter lands not far from his lambo.

"If you excuse us, I need to take care of my woman. A doctor is waiting for us back home." He spoke and he was about to walk away.

"We are not done with the questioning. So you can not take her away yet." I don't want her gone... Not yet.

"What did you just say? All this mess is all your fault. If you were careful, all these could have been avoided. So don't you dare tell me not to take her away. She has gone through much more than she bargained for. Besides, she answered all your questions right? Leave us alone so we can live in peace." He then walks away with Cat in his hands and helped her get to the chopper while I stood there speechless.

He was saying the truth.

A guy was talking to him and he gave him some keys. He heads to where the lambo so he could take it back to his house while they flew away.

I finally realized it was time to finally let go.

"Officer. Are you ok?" Hawkins spoke breaking me off my trance.

"I'm fine. All these mess for nothing. We have a lot of explaining to do to the big guys." I spoke thinking of anything but them.

I'm still thinking of that one woman I can't have.

"Today... Was not a good day. But we are alive and kicking. Things could have been worse so at least we have that to be grateful for." She spoke referring to the whole day.

True.

Both of us would have been dead today.

"Let's get that check up. I think there is a first aid kit in the chopper." She said referring to the bullet wound I got back at the station. Even if the bullet did go out of my skin, it was not properly dressed so it can get infected anytime. So I just followed her hoping she knew what she was doing.
