I feel like Avatar from The Last Airbender with how long I've vanished from this side of the world. But just like him, I'm back and ready to restore balance to this chaotic universe once and for all.

A little update for y'all: your girl... me, officially girl-bossed so hard I moved out of my family home, bought myself a laptop, and even got WiFi installed.
Now, is my house empty? Yes. Am I surviving on the companionship of a stray cat I'm struggling to feed? Also yes. I'm considering putting the little guy up for adoption even though the thought of it has me on the brink of tears. Damn, life is cruel sometimes. But enough about my emotional breakdowns—let's move on!

In my absence, I've been sneaking into your comments, DMs, and emails, and I thought this would be the perfect moment to answer some of your most burning questions. Plus, I've got a massive announcement to share, so buckle up.

1. Why did Catalina have to die? Or does she come back again? Like, is this a misunderstanding? Diablo never saw her body, right?

How do I put this lightly? ...She's dead.
No tricks, no games. Dead as a doornail.

And before y'all start throwing tomatoes at me for being a heartless writer who loves breaking your hearts, let me explain! This decision wasn't just for the drama (though I live for it, let's be honest). Her death is the foundation of a new beginning. The story wouldn't have the same impact if Catalina had lived—it had to happen for things to evolve in the way they needed to. Trust me, it'll all make sense when you read what's coming next. (Atleast that's what I tell myself.)

2. So... there's a sequel?

Wrong. There's a trilogy. Yup, I'm going all in! 💥

The next two books are already planned, and I'm proud to say that book two is currently a work in progress while book three is simmering in my brain, fully mapped out. Just like a phoenix rising from the ashes, this is not the end, my loves—it's just the beginning.

3. Did you always plan for Daniel to be Leo's real brother?

Nope! Plot twist: Daniel wasn't supposed to play a big role at all. He was initially just a loyal servant, but as I kept writing and building their bromance, I realized Leo wouldn't always be El Diablo. He didn't want his kids to inherit the title either, so I thought, "What if Daniel was an illegitimate child who'd been raised alongside Leo by their father?" It made sense. It added depth. And boom! That's how Daniel went from side character to pivotal plotline.

4. What inspired you to write this book?

Oh, this one takes me back. I started writing this story when I was 19, and now I'm 24 going on 25. Like... WTF?! 🤯

Back then, I'd just discovered smutty books and thought to myself, "I could write this!" Mind you, the only experience I'd had at that point was a single French kiss. But hey, fake it till you make it, right?
Also, Telemundo had me in a chokehold back then. Those dramatic soap operas with their love triangles and scandals gave me life. That's how this book was born—a mix of smut, drama, and me being a hopeless romantic with a flair for chaos.

5. Do you have a fan page or social media where we can follow you?

Finally, yes! It took me five years, but I now have an Instagram account and I'm planning to start a TikTok and Facebook page too. You'll find behind-the-scenes content, character aesthetics, playlists, moodboards, and deep dives into the plot. Basically, all the nerdy bookish stuff you love!

7. What's next on your writing journey?

I've got so many plans, it's borderline ridiculous.
First up, THE HIS SERIES—the trilogy I mentioned earlier.

Then, I'm working on a book titled BABY, BLIND LOVE IS TRUE, the title of course is inspired by Bon Jovi's Bed of Roses but it's deeper than that. This story will be more mature and have very mild smut because, let's face it, I've grown as a writer (and a person) and it will have a sequel.

I also want to branch out into thrillers and psychological trauma stories, with two standalone books already in the works. Plus, there's a fantasy series brewing in my head involving parallel universes, time travel, aliens, and epic quests (think Avatar: The Last Airbender vibes and the Valerian movie, good God I forgot the title... Got married and had a kid.) The lead character will have to master skills to save the universe, and honestly, I'm hyped just thinking about it.

I don't want to be fixed in a certain box (genre) as a writer so I hope to explore as much as I can and see how it takes me.

8. Will your books be available on Wattpad?

Yes and No. Let me explain.

HIS WORST DISTRACTION will remain here. As well as the others to come as FIRST EDITIONS. Besides that, if I have any passion projects, Wattpad will be my go to place. Though this time, I fully plan to publish my work which brings the big news...

That's right, folks—your girl is officially entering the publishing world. I'm currently editing the book, tweaking my writing style, and making it shine as my best work yet. The published edition will have the same plot and characters you love but with the finesse of a more experienced me, or atleast I hope I am.

As for the First Edition, this one... I've decided not to edit much of the version that's already up there. Here's why: when I look back at the original story, I see the 17 year old me—the part of me that tried so hard to write something meaningful, even with all my beginner mistakes. I don't want to erase that version of myself. It's like a time capsule of my growth as a writer, and I want to leave it untouched for those of you who've been with me from the start.

The Amazon version, on the other hand, will be my way of taking everything I've learned over the years and creating a polished, professional version of His Worst Distraction that I'm truly proud of. I hope you'll enjoy both versions for what they represent—a journey, growth, and all the love I've poured into this story.

I'm obsessed with K-dramas—favorites include Fight For My Way, Bloodhounds, Strong Girl Do Bong Soon, It's Okay Not To Be Okay Tale of the Nine Tailed (the 2nd one), Shop For Killers and Vincenzo.

I also love indulging in unhealthy snacks (fried chicken and mint chocolate ice cream own my soul), swimming, playing pool, darts, isolating myself until people think I've disappeared then I emerge as if I was hibernating for an year and planning stuff I rarely follow through on.
