Sean's POV.

I cant believe she left without saying goodbye.

I know she doesn't feel the same way I do but at least she could have told me she's going home today.

I cant help but stare at her pictures in my phone. She is all covered up in her heavy jacket laughing with her lips and happiness radiated off her green emerald eyes as she threw snowballs at my little sister, Sarah.

Sarah and I were both adapted by a very wealthy family and despite me being a different race than them, they never treated me any differently. They loved me like their own child even if my skin colour was black. As for me, I adored them all and I always strive to make them proud of me and that's why I excelled in all my studies,graduated with honours and now I am about to be a rookie at the New York Narcadics Department. My family insisted we should celebrate by going to a vacation and what better place to go than Alaska.

I didn't know that she was coming with us because she was Sarah's best friend but when I found out she was, I vowed to make her mine and make her fall in love with me. I have always been in love with her since the first time I saw when were both in University. I was in my last year while she was on her second. To boost they even clicked with Sarah and became best friends meaning I saw her a lot. I tried everything, bought everything, made sure she knew she could count on me and even if she knew what I felt, she still insisted that we should stay as friends. I tried to convince her that my love was enough for the both of us bit still she was as stubborn as a mule.

I was so close to accomplish my mission that night, but that's when she vanished without a trace after the most spectacular night of us making love... even if we were both drunk. I tried to make Sarah tell me her location but what she said that day changed my decision.

"If she wanted you to go to her, she would have told you. If she didn't, that means she is not into you. If you have a pinch of dignity that you used to have, I suggest you continue with your life even if its by walking away with your tail between your legs. Don't waste all your hard work to someone who is not worth it."

She was right. It hurts buts its true. She didn't love me and that night was just a mistake... according to her. It takes two to tango... not one. After a whole day of reflecting and boosting my self confidence back I booked a flight to New York. Hopefully this will be a start to a new life that didn't involve Emily.

"Hey Boss. There has been a shooting at the Elm's street near the Platinum Plaza and Mall. Six people were shoot down and killed at the spot while others managed to escape." Dion, one of the best officers around this corrupt dump informed me.

"Well that's not my case. That happens to be involved with the Homicide Division." I was still trying to find a clue that could incriminate the infamous man that was called "Diablo." The problem was there was no evidences, witnesses or even a single soul that could confirm that Diablo was involved in Drug trafficking, leading a mafia group and also involved in first degree of many murders. He is the reason why I was sent to this place. A place that only him controlled.

"Well Boss, that's where you are wrong. All of the people that were murdered, they all belong to an upcoming Mafia, that is trying to overrule the most powerful Mafia group and Drug Kartel, The Devil's Lair... that happens to be led by the "Diablo." She spoke as she gave me a detailed files of all the six members. She definitely had a point.
