Desmond's POV
Connor helps me out of the shack and we walk back to his village. When we get there, we head to the nearest bar where there's food and something to drink.
Suddenly, my head begins spinning and I have to catch myself from falling by using Connor as a pole.
"Desmond, what's wrong?" Connor asks, turning to me.
"I don't know... this is sooner than I expected," I reply, looking him in the eyes. Connor places his hands on my shoulders and looks back at me.
"What's coming? Des, talk to me," Connor pleads.
"I'm leaving this time, but I don't know what's next," I reply. I can feel myself disappearing and I look over at Connor for what may be the last time.
"Goodbye Connor."
--------------------------
White. That's all I see when I open my eyes. It's almost like the animus loading right before my ancestor's lives are loaded up into the machine.
I get up from the ground where I'm lying and look around. Nobody's around me. Nothing's around me.
"Hello?! Anyone there?" I call.
That's when I see a figure coming into my vision. I turn and see Altair coming towards me. Behind him is Malik.
"Oh my gosh," I whisper. I'm about to run to them when I see another two figures appearing. Ezio and Leonardo. Then two more, Edward and Connor.
"I missed you guys," Ezio says. We all come to the centre and have a group hug. I thought I would never see them again.
As the hug breaks, we hear footsteps coming towards us. We all turn and I hear Malik choke.
"Malik? Is that you?" the young boy asks.
"Kadar..." Malik whispers. His eyes are filled with tears and he embraces his long dead brother.
"Fredericko? Patricio? Father?" Ezio whimpers as his family members come into sight. Leonardo looks over at Ezio, his face a mixture of joy and sorrow.
"Mary..." Edward gasps.
"Maria..." Altair mumbles.
"Mother!" Connor cries out.
All of the assassins run and hug their long lost family members, each with tears in their eyes. I stand in the middle of this white room, nobody there for me to greet.
"Desmond, come here," Ezio says, motioning me over. I walk towards him and he puts his arm around my shoulder.
"We are your family, Desmond Miles. This is how it all started, how it all happened. These people are why you are here today," Altair says, his arm around his beloved Maria.
"I know..." I say, my voice barely a whisper.
"We want you to know that even when we all disappear, we're never gone," Edward says.
"We'll always be your family," Connor grins.
"I love you guys," I cry, hugging them all. I've never felt so many emotions inside of me at once, and it's overwhelming.
"Guys, I'm going to go back to my own time and so are you, and I'm going to miss you," I say.
"We will miss you too, Desmond. But remember, one day we will see each other again," Leonardo says.
I begin to fade and I take one last look at my ancestors.
"Goodbye everyone."
