Desmond's POV

The next day, Ezio wakes me up early in the morning.

"Desmond, today is the day," he says. "I think you're ready."

My eyes snap open and I sit up quickly.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yes. Now hurry and get dressed in these," Ezio says. He hands me a bundle of clothing and leaves the room, closing the door behind him.

I unfold the clothes and see that it's an assassin robe. I put it on, and it fits comfortably.

I walk out of my room and Leonardo squeezes my shoulder lightly.

"You will do great," he says. I chuckle and hug him.

"Thanks Leo."

Ezio and I wave goodbye and leave on our horses.

"Come, this is where he will be."

---time skip---

"So, do exactly what I told you when I nod," Ezio says.

"Okay. I got this," I reply.

Ezio grins and runs to his position. I can see some other young assassins that Ezio brought with him in position as well, and we wait for Ezio's clue.

I can see him walking through a crowd of people in red towards a horse cart. Some guards see them, and two assassins shoot them with arrows. Ezio continues to walk flawlessly through, not minding any of them.

He reaches the front of the crowd, and some more guards see him. They're dead in an instant.

The man that was described to me as Cesare Borgia comes out of the carriage and begins speaking to Ezio. He summons horsemen to attack, and Ezio kills one of the horses and one of the men.

Cesare summons guards to come out from behind pillars and surround Ezio. Cesare talks to him, but Ezio hardly listens. He gently catches a falling eagle feather from the sky, and nods as the bird flies by.

With that, the other assassins and I kill the guards surrounding Ezio. Cesare looks frightened for a moment before more guards come to fight beside him.

The assassins and I jump down from our places and go to stand by Ezio's side. We all charge at him, and we fight. I manage to kill one of the guards, and the crowd goes into chaos.

The assassins manage to kill all of the guards, and Ezio stabs Cesare through the chest. He falls over, dead.

"Requiescat in pace, bastardo," Ezio says, closing Cesare's eyes.

With that, we all run from the scene.

A/N: I know, I followed the brotherhood trailer. And I changed it up a bit to fit the story. I know he doesn't die in that scene. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it! :)
