Desmond's POV

"So, when are we going to go kill Cesare?" I ask as Ezio and I walk around outside the Monteriggioni villa.

"Patience, Desmond. You need to train first," Ezio replies, smiling slightly.

"But... you've been teaching me through the Animus for a long time!" I exclaim.

"I do not know whether to be creeped out or honoured."

"Don't worry about it," I say, chuckling. "Anyway, are we going to get to training?"

Ezio nods and puts his hand on my shoulder.

"I'll show you the training ring."

We walk down the front steps of the villa and I finally see a walled in arena with a nice view of the Italian land.

"Here is where I will train you. Then, we'll go to kill Cesare," Ezio says.

"Awesome. Let's do this," I reply.

We start to fight, and I repeatedly end up on the ground.

"You and Altaïr are both really good at kicking my ass," I mutter as I stand and brush the dirt off of my sweater.

"It takes a lot of training to get where we are in skill," Ezio replies. I sigh and rub the back of my neck.

"No kidding."

After a couple of hours of training, Ezio and I walk back to the villa.

"Time to eat," Ezio says. He shows me to the dining room, and we sit down at the table. Leonardo is already there, as well as a woman I've never met before.

"Ezio is actually joining us for dinner for once," the woman says. I assume that's Ezio's mom.

"Yes. Where's Claudia?" Ezio replies.

"I am coming, Ezio. Be patient," calls a voice from the other room. A young woman walks in and looks at me confused.

"Who is he?"

"This is Desmond. He's my descendant," Ezio says. I wave slightly, and Claudia looks shocked.

"Ancestor!? How is that possible!?"

"Leonardo told me about this. That time when Ezio disappeared mysteriously, he met him," Ezio's mother says, motioning to me.

"That would make sense," Claudia replies.

We start to eat, and it's much better than Altaïr's food. This is bread, apples, cheese, meat, and fine Italian wine.

"This is good!" I say as I take a sip of the wine.

"I know!" Ezio replies, grinning.

Once we're done, I bid everyone goodnight as I walk to my room and cuddle up under the blankets.

What an exhausting day.
