Desmond's POV

"Desmond?"

I am not where I think I am.

Am I?

"Ezio?" I mumble.

"Why are you here?" he asks. I open my eyes slowly and see Ezio looking down at me.

"Stay here. I'm going to get Leonardo."

"Don't worry, Ezio. I wasn't planning on moving."

I look around and see that I'm in a fancy Italian mansion. The walls and floors are a marble material, and there are paintings on the walls, probably done by Leonardo.

My head hurts so badly, and I feel exhausted. The same way you feel after you cross time zones. In this case, time centuries.

"Desmond? What is he doing here?" I hear Leonardo ask.

"I do not know!" Ezio replies.

"I don't feel good," I groan.

I feel myself being lifted and carried. I try to stay awake, but I succumb to exhaustion and pass out.

Ezio's POV

I pick Desmond up off the floor and start carrying him to one of the spare bedrooms. He passes out in a matter of seconds, and Leonardo looks worried.

"Why do you think he's here?" he asks, walking after me.

"I do not know. We will find that out when he wakes up," I say.

We reach the bedroom and I carefully lay Desmond in the bed. Leo covers him with the blankets and we leave the room. I softly close the door, and Leo and I stand outside the room for a moment, not saying anything.

"Well, my day went from normal to strange in a very short amount of time," I say. Leonardo nods and chuckles.

"How exciting!"
