A New Life|| Aether|| GN!

You walked over to your desk, and plopped your F/C backpack down near your chair as you sat down and groaned. It was just a tiring day at your high school, like always. Teachers yelling, students whispering, and bullies pushing. You do have the guts to fight back, but even so, it would only get you in more trouble than you already are. "Y/N L/N!" Your mother called downstairs, and you were too tired to actually move. Footsteps came stomping up, and it soon reached your room, opening the door abruptly. "Why do you have C's on your report card?" She asked.

"Have you not noticed my A's? And plus, that's only one C. For science." You didn't face your mother, and closed your eyes. "I want you to go into a good high school, and then a university!" 
"Please just leave my room..." You grumbled, and your mother just stomped over to you, and grabbed you by the shoulders. "You will get a better grade, got it?" Only nodding, she let go, and left. You sighed, and took out your phone.

"It feels like this is the only thing good in my life now." You whispered to yourself, as you opened the Genshin Impact app. The soft music, the creative art, it made you relax. The game started, as you saw your team that you left it as last night. (Ima just put my own team) Kazuha as your main, Keqing as your support, Qiqi as your healer, and then the traveler. (I don't have traveler on my team but for the sake of the story)

You just liked putting traveler on your team since he can switch to both Anemo and Geo. You had a good build for all your characters actually, and you went on to the commissions. You checked the time, once you were done with all your homework, it was already late. The living room TV was on, and you just changed your clothes, switched out the lights, and went back on to the game. Falling asleep slowly, your eyes closed, as you lay your head on your arms and the light of the phone shined on you.

Waking up, instead of feeling your bed, and your blankets, you felt a cool touch of grass. Your eyes adjusted to the lights, and you were outside... Not wearing sleep wear anymore, you were in some simple clothing. It was unique, but really showing off skin... It was showing off your stomach, and your legs. Some shorts, and then a crop top? At least you had a coat with you. Pulling the coat over your body, you noticed a flashing green jewel, and you noticed it automatically. "Anemo Vision?!" You covered your mouth, and check the bag that was next to you. 

There was a map, and it was labeled: Mondstadt. You froze as you blinked and blinked, until you realized you were now a game character. "I'm not... real anymore?" You asked, and you smiled. "I don't have to go to school!" You said gleefully, and smiled. "But how do I-" 

"Hey look! Who's that?" Recognizing that voice immediately, you turn around to see the one and only. Paimon and Aether. "Paimon has never seen you around before..." Paimon put a hand to her chin, and then just smiled. "Paimon is my name! This is Aether-" 

"I-I know who you-you guys are.." You mumbled, but loud enough for them to hear. "Oh yeah, he's the Honorary Knight." Paimon laughed. "Don't show off Paimon..." Aether said, and he helped you off of the ground. "What are you doing here alone? There was a hilichurl camp near by. It's dangerous, you know." Aether stated. 

"R-Right! I just got lost trying to go to Mondstadt! You know, the city of freedom?" Paimon's eyes brightened up, and then pointed to the shadows of the city. "It's over there! Come on, we're headed there anyways!" The guide floated ahead of you two, and you jogged over with the traveler. "Mondstadt welcomes you!" It looked the same, just like in the game... Donna was mumbling to herself about Moon pie, Flora selling flowers, Quinn and Beatrice working hard. 

"Say, have you visited the city of freedom before... Uh, right! We didn't catch your name." Paimon said. "It's Y/N!" You quickly stated. "Well, did you?" You shook your head. "No, I didn't-" You stammered. "Then why did you want to visit?" Aether asked. "You see, it's complicated how I got lost..." You chuckled nervously. 

You only knew the way around Mondstadt because you played in Mondstadt too many times, and eventually memorized it. "Hey." Aether walked up to you, and you looked at him. "Do you need something?" 
"I know you're not from this world. Where did you come from?" He asked. "Hah?! Oh! Um... I came from... Earth, I guess you call it?" You answered, questionably. "I've heard of it. Is it fun being real..? At least for you?" He asks. "It depends on the person. Me? I was living a bad life. The world I am in right now though... It helped me a lot."
