Chapter 23: Zayn's&Scarlet's Valentine Chaos Part 2

Scarlet's POV

     Great Zayn. We are fuckin stuck in a dark cave. Wait I can conjure up some fire. Looking around for some sticks Zayn trys to budge the rock.

"Give up Zayn it's not going to move. " I plot myself on the ground. 

"I don't know why It's not moving." he huffs.

He eventually gives up and sits across from me. I found a couple of sticks to start a fire. I think of the warmth and heat that fire creates. SNAP!! A ball of fire blazes in my palms.

"At least we will have some warmth, well me anyways."

 

     Did you think we needed the fire for light? Please im a werewolf I could see miles away in pitch black and vampires are basically living in darkness. Zayn just smirks at me. I actually miss him teasing me.

"What a way to spend Valentine's Day." He looks up around the cave. 

I know he doesn't mean it in a it's your fault way, but I take it that way.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to see the bear cave. I didn't think we would get stuck in here with no cell service or any possible way of getting out" I apologize to him.

He looks at me puzzled.

"It wasnt your fault. I wanted to come because a girl shouldn't go to places like this without a strong guy to take care of you" he points to himself.

I could not help laughing. He looked like a little boy trying to prove something to his parents. Its actually cute. 

"I'm a big girl I could take care of myself. " ,I smile at him," but I still shouldn't have come. The cave smelled a little like death and other scents so I thought it was a weird bear so I wanted to investigate. Why do I always lead people to danger?" was this a question for Zayn or for me?

     Zayn's POV

Why would she be so down about this? Were just stuck in a cave. Someone is bound to find us. What I cant get is why I cant open the rock door. Vampires are really strong.  I figure that out late until I find out why she is fussing over this.

"Lead people to danger?" I throw her a questioning look.

With a sigh and inhale she tells me her story.

"When I was four years old my mother and I were in the flower meadow by our pack. She was teaching me how to use my powers. When I was little it was hard to fit in. Nobody fun of me because they thought it was cool" she looks down at her shoes without a smile. 

"But I knew that I was different. I knew I was the only werwolf with pitch black fur,the only werewolf with the power to see another ones power and add it to my own. Growing up everyone was afraid that I would destroy them with the power I owned. My mother thought otherwise. She thought I would be the one to create a better living for a our packs." all of a sudden tears started rolling down her eyes.

"That day during our walk to the meadow I asked her if we could see the blue birds in the green forest instead. Of course my mother said yes and let me lead the way. As I went to a tall tree looking for the birds until I noticed my mother wasnt behind me. I looked everywhere for her. It was almost night and I finally found her laying in the grass with blood forming around her. I screamed and cried to my father telling him what happened. Search parties found the scent coming from only one thing that would kill a werewolf."

"What?" I asked curiously.

She looks back at me with her puffy red eyes filled with so many tears. I instantly break down. Why do I feel this way. I dont want to see her cry. I want to see her fiery ego strike at me. Her answer is what makes me understand why she hated us so much.

"A vampire"

Scarlet's POV

I cant believe I just told him all that. At least it came out. It feels good to talk about my mom. I loved her so much. I now know that I dont hate vampires. I know it wasnt every vampire that was in on my mom's death.

"Your story is very similar to mine. My mother loved me just as much. " my eyes go wide at him. He is actually spilling his feelings?! Wow.

"What? Believe it or not, Bella Luna, I have feelings too. I was her world and she was mine. Never had a father figure. I always had the gift to sing. She said that I belonged to the moon when my blonde streak came out.  When i was seven years old my mom was eaten by a werewolf alpha. Ten years after I was exiled to a Lonewalker for the ability to sing like a werewolf. " he shrugs his shoulders out of self defense.

"Im sorry" i respond.

He looks at me with a smile. I melt. I think about what he said earlier about Bella Luna.

"What does Bella Luna mean ?" i ask him.

Be throws a bad boy smile at me. "It means beautiful moon. Its what my mom used to call me"

I blush all the way up to my ears.  I hope he doesnt notice. I think he did because he is smiling up to his ears.

"From now on were no longer enemies okay?" I put my hand towards him.

He looks at my hand. Does he not want to be?

"Okay" he takes my hand and shakes it.

For some reason this makes me smile. I didnt want him to say no. My hand gets warm from him holding it. Trying to look past him from me blushing again.  I never blushed this way with Raven. So i look at the wall. I notice something and stand up.

"Zayn is this cave man made?" i ask

"Why?" he stands up to and looks at what im looking at. He stops in horror.

On the wall is blood and the symbol of the head vampire clan. Shadow clan.

"What is this?" i ask shocked and maybe a little bit scared.

"I honestly dont know but I think I know one person who might and that person is Vincent. " he looks at me with angry eyes and then when he states at mine his expression turns into a longing one.

What is he longing for? As that thought came to mind Zayn came closer to me with hungry eyes. As he came closer he placed his hand on my cheek. Is he going to kiss me?!  He come closer to my face a kisses my forehead instead.

"Ill help you avenge your mother's death" he then walks off towards deeper into the cave.

Im notice im actually sad. I wanted him to kiss me on my lips passionately with fire. Is it bad to think that way?
