Chapter 39: Road trip

Scarlet's POV

I did not expect to go on a trip with everyone. Im really tired from this silence. Its like everybody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Zayn is close behind me saying nothing. I wonder whats with him? Then Azra is giving me the creeps he keeps on staring at me like he knows something about me. It also could just be my imagination, everyone is pretty tense.

"Are you okay?" Zayn looks at me obviously worried.

Do I look like im worried? I cant tell. I guess im not i feel bad. I told Raven about Zayn and I this morning. He said it was he was fine with it and he umderstood but he still seemed hurt. That could be another reason why everyone is quiet, ruby and them most likely comfessed their.feelimg as well.

"Im fine I guess. I never imagined our lives would end up like this. " I look at him and see doubt.

"Okay, okay. You could say im scared" i look down at my feet as we are walkimg.

"You scared? Highly likely." he grabs a hold of my hand and kisses it with a smile on his face.

I smile back,"im serious. Im afraid what my father will do to you. "

He hugs me from behind and kisses me on my forehead.
"Don't worry nothing will happen" he whispers.

"How can you be so sure?"

Before he could answer me Djaba comes up to me.

All your answers will come at a time. And maybe some answers to questions you never thought you would consider. He then walks away with a smile.

What is that supposed to mean. Zayn left to Liam afterwards leaving me with my thoughts of Djaba's words.

"How is everything?" I turn towards the musky voice.

Azra.

This man who mysteriously kidnapped me, chained me, came to my house and invited himself to our mission never ever once seemed like a threat to me. Why? What does he need with me? Why did he come along?

"Im fine thank you. And yourself?" i smile.

" quite comfortable actually. You on the other hand look like you are lost in thought. "

How does he know this stuff? Though i will still share my thoughts (some of them) i wonder why but he seems considerably trustworthy.

"That obvious?" i finally slump my shoulders.

"No not really you hide your emotions good. Im just a very old vampire that knows a whole lot. Including about your mother, which im surprised you haven't asked me about. Why?" he stares at me with his own crystal blue eyes.

"Because whatever it is you know about my mom I wont pester you about it. What ever my mom entrusted you with is for you only to know. If she wanted any one else to know she would have said something already. I love my mom, i wont bother her spirit by bugging about the past. " i finish with my crystal blue eyes with water engulfing them.

"Wow. Your mother would be proud of you. Very much. Im sure your father is. " this time his expression changed with his jaw twitching. He probably is mad at my father.

"Well my dad was never the proud kind of dad that gets you ice cream everytime you got an A on a test. Everything I did never suited him. I always have to be the one with a mistake. He never raised me either, after my mother was brutally murdered i was never close to someone like that again. I tried so hard to please him but it was never good enough. Me and my dad will never be on good terms. " after a while after silence I look.at him and i think his eyes are.....watery???

"Im sorry did I say something wrong? Here i am letting my mouth run when you probably have your own problems. "

"No. No its fine. Im glad you shared that with me. It just makes this trip more worth while. " Azra walks towards Harry's way.

I wonder if he is okay?

"Were here!!" Ruby yells out.

We are at the entrance to Werewolfs Guard.
