Chapter 1: The Mission

Scarlet POV

The moon shined on my coal, black fur. Dirt lifted when my paws hit the ground and the wind howled in my ears like sirens. I love it when I go wolf. I feel so free when I run fast as the wind. I love watching my prey cower under me like bugs.

My ears twitched to the left from a sound I heard from a rose bush. A flash of silver fur jumped next to me. It was Ruby. She greeted me with a short howl. After Ruby two more wolves came up on my right. One was brown and the other was light brown. April and Allison ran along with Ruby and I. We're missing somebody.

A white wolf jumped down from a tree and landed next to Ruby. Stelavina's brown eyes showed eagerness. The Luna's were together again for another mission. Hopefully we get to kill some vampires.

We all passed the black log that led us to the Werewolf's Guard entrance. Fog started to tickle our noses and very little moonlight peeked through the thick trees. We were here, we were at the Werewolf's Guard base. Trees surrounded a giant circle where moonlight only shined on a picture of a wolf in the ground.

Three wolves greeted us in the middle of the circle.

"Welcome Luna's it's good to see you again" said the black/brown wolf known as Alpha Michael.

We all then turned into our human forms. Alpha Michael snapped his fingers and white folders appeared before our eyes. He handed each of us a folder. Inside my folder it had a student ID card with the name Scarlet Luna and a picture of me next to it.

"What's this?" Allison lifted her left eyebrow up.

We were all thinking the same thing.

"Your new ID for your mission" was all Alpha Michael said.

Alpha Koran and Alpha Farrell started reciting our new names in turns. First was Alpha Farrell.

" Scarlet Moonclaw you will now be known as Scarlet Luna"

" Ruby Graynight you will be now known as Ruby Knowles"

"Stelavina Silverfall you will be now known as Stelavina Ashford"

"Allison Nightclaaw you will be now known as Allison Clark"

"And April Nightfall you will be now known as April Evans"

We began to process the fact that we have to change our names for this mission it must be important.

" Why do we have to change our names?" Stelavina piped.

"And why do we need school ID's?" April asked.

Alpha Michael looked like he prepared a speech because he cleared his throat and took a deep breath.

"There has been reports in Forks, Washington about humans being attacked by some creature. The creature apparently leaves two puncture marks in their victims necks. Now we all know ...."

"You sure it wasn't the Chupacabra?" Ruby interrupted.

I glared at her and she said nothing forward on.

" No Ruby chupacabra's don't go any where near moist, dark places. We are curtain vampires are involved in this. These vampires have broken the pact we have with them and you know the consequences; death. We believe they pose as high school students and we need you to find them and kill them.

YES. We get another mission for vampire death. I'm going to love this.

"We'll leave first thin in the morning" I announced.

"Be careful Scarlet don't let your guard down. As far as we know these vampires are very dangerous." The alphas went wolf and vanished in the dark.
