I rushed into the airport and saw my brother sitting with Julie in an uncomfortable chair.

“Aubrey” my brother says standing up and welcoming me into his arms.

“Where are you guys going?” I ask

“To Boston. My friend got me a job there.” Aaron replies

“What about school?” I ask

“We dropped out. We can’t afford it.” Julie says sadly.

“I will look for a job as soon as we get there.” Julie adds

“Please you guys don’t leave. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be.” I say tears falling down my cheeks.

“We have to baby sis. This is the only thing we can do.” Aaron says

“Babe our plane is boarding. We better get going.” Julie says trying to hold in her tears.

“Okay. Let me just give Aubrey something.” Aaron turns around and opens the box.

He turns around and hands me a small box.

“I want you to open this when you’re in the car.” He says

He hugs me tight and I silently cry into his shoulder. He lets me go and I hug Julie.

We say our goodbyes. I can’t help but feel my heart breaking as I watch them get inline.

I headed to my car and noticed my phone. I had so many missed calls.

30 missed calls from my dad

20 missed calls from April

50 missed calls from Aiden

And another 50 missed calls from Luke

Shit. I was in deep trouble. I had a couple of messages but ignored them. I called Luke first.

“Where are you? Are you alright?” Luke asks full of concern.

“Right now I am not okay, but I will be.” I told him.

I explained the whole situation and he remained quite at the end. He didn’t know what to say. No one ever did. When I got home. I rushed up the stairs hoping no one would see me. But Aiden saw me when I was half way up the stairs, he came to see who came into the front door.

“Aubrey!” Aiden says loudly. April and my father soon followed standing at the bottom of the stairs. I probably looked like a deer caught in headlights.
