My Happy Ending

Chapter 17

When I opened my eyes it was already morning. I looked at the time. It was 11 am. Luke was still fast asleep next to me. I got up and made my way to the bathroom. I turned on the hot water and got into the shower. The hot water felt great. I shampooed and conditioned my hair then washed my body with my shower gel. One I was satisfied that I smelled like vanilla, I got out of the shower and grabbed the bathrobe. I shrugged it on and began brushing my teeth and then my hair. I walked back into the room. Aiden’s university is having a block party. We were all going. We had to be there at 1:00 pm.

“Luke babe, wake up!” I say

Luke opens his eyes and looks tiredly at me.

“What time is it?” he asks

“11:20, now get up!” I say going through my bag for something to wear.

Luke drags his feet to the shower. I take this time to put on makeup. I decided to put on light foundation, eyeliner, where I winged it out. Mascara for my eyelashes, lipstick and some blush. I put on my dark blue jeans, I also put on my dark blue sweater and my Doc Martin’s. I removed the new bag I bought from its cover and placed my things inside. Luke came out of the bathroom with a towel hung low on his hips.

My boyfriend was truly amazing. He walked over to me and placed a kiss on my cheek. He turned to get ready. I went into the bathroom and blow dried my hair. It was cold outside and I didn’t want to get sick. After blow drying it, I plugged in my curling iron and began lightly curling my hair. When I was done, Luke had already gone downstairs to eat something. I wasn’t hungry but I decided to eat an apple.

Aiden and Petra were still in their room. Who knows what they are doing?

Luke and I were busy watching TV, when they walked in.

“Are you guys ready?” Aiden asks

“Yep” I say without taking my eyes off the screen.

“Let’s go!” Petra says

I looked up and saw that Aiden and Petra were dressed in university sports uniform. Aiden plays soccer at his school and Petra is a cheerleader. Go figure!

Petra was wearing her University cheer outfit. Her long blonde hair was curled and hung lose over her right shoulder. Her skirt was short but she had on thick beige stockings. Aiden was dressed in the same colors as Petra but he had on his lettermen jacket and blue jeans.

We all filed out of the door and hopped into Aiden’s pickup. 15 minutes later we arrived at the block party. It was in full swing when we arrived.

“Okay, listen you guys meet us at the parade. We have to get to our teams now. The parade starts at 3 pm” Petra says holding her coat close to her.

“Yeah, sure!” Luke says

“See ya guys later” Aiden says as he heads to the back.
