I don’t remember what happened while I was out but when I opened my eyes all I saw was white around me. I felt that my head was heavy. I looked to my right and saw Aiden standing by the window.

“Aiden, what happened?” I asked.

He rushed over to me.

“You fell. Luke found you passed out on the floor.” He said worriedly.

“Oh. Where’s Luke?” I ask looking for my boyfriend.

“He went to get coffee.” Aiden says.

“Where’s Aaron? How did the appointment go?” I ask trying to sit up.

“Don’t move. I will get a nurse.” Aiden says avoiding my eyes.

I grabbed his hand.

“What did the doctor say?” I asked him firmly.

He didn’t want to look at me. But I held my gaze at his face.

“He said that they can get Aaron’s tumor in one operation.” He says

“Okay, that’s good news isn’t it?” I say

“Yeah, but the operation is very risky. There is a 50% chance that he will not make it off that operating table alive.” Aiden says.

“He’s going to do it, isn’t he?” I ask

“Yeah, he wants to live. But I can’t shake this feeling that it isn’t going to be easy.” Aiden says worriedly.

“He has to do it Aiden, he is going to have a baby!” I say

“I know! That I know is the main reason he wants to do it. But I can’t help it that I feel that something bad is going to happen.” Aiden says clutching his head.

“You’re awake!” Luke says placing the two cups of coffee down and rushing over to me.

“Hey babe.” I say holding his hand

“You scared me half to death!” he says

“I am okay, don’t worry.” I say trying to reassure him

“Nurse, my sister’s awake!” I hear Aiden call down the hallway.

“Good. Hello dear, my name is Dr. Adams, but you can call me Chelsea. You fall down the stairs, caused you to have a concussion. Which is why your body gave out. I checked your vitals, everything seems fine. I do want you to stay here overnight just to keep a watchful eye on you. Tomorrow morning you can go home.” she says smiling.
