The next morning I seriously didn’t feel like going to school. I felt tired and broken. I turned off my alarm and went back to sleep. I woke up at 12 pm. I walked into my bathroom and freshened up. I changed out of my clothes. I wore my black leggings and put on an oversized sweater. It was mint green and fuzzy. I pulled my hair into a lose bun on the top of my head. I put on my bunny slippers and walked downstairs. I needed food. Food made everything better!

It has been a month since Aaron had left. The house still weird without him. I was on thanksgiving break. It was a lot colder out, which is why I am wearing my senior hoodie with thick leggings. I had on my brown Ugg’s. Today was the day that April was finally moving in. All of us were currently putting in all the boxes inside the house. Jake and Josh were also moving in.

You are probably wondering how big our house is.

Our house is a three stories house. It has a huge kitchen that overlooks the dining area. We have a fancy living room, where we only use when we have guests. There is also another dining room that is also for only guests. We have a family room where we all sit and watch TV. That is the first floor.

The second floor of the house has 5 bedrooms with attached walk in closets and bathrooms. Jake and Josh are sharing a room that is almost the same size as our parents room. The room is huge. The final floor of our house is our gym and a small green house on the roof. The green house was my mom’s but its empty now. No one goes in there since mom passed. Outside we have a 4 car garage, an indoor pool and a basketball court. This house has been in our family for generations. Every generation adds on to the house. We finally got the last of the boxes inside since the moving people only placed them in the driveway and left. There was a storm heading our way so we needed everything inside.

After putting almost everything away, I was currently sitting on the couch watching The Vampire Diaries. When my phone rang. It was Skai.

‘Hey what’s up?’ I asked her

Sniff.sniff.sniff.

‘Skai what’s wrong?’ I asked worried

‘We broke up’ She wept

‘What happened?’ I asked

‘Can you please open the gate?’ she asks

I get off the chair and walk over to the front door. I see her car outside our gate. I click the open button and her grey Mercedes came to a stop by Jakes black Honda Accord.

We are sitting in my room talking about the reason her and Tyler broke up. She cried in my arms for hours. The distance was really affecting their relationship. I knew that Skai and Tyler were meant to be. They always fought and went days without speaking to each other. This was just one of those times.

“I can’t believe he didn’t even call me.” She says taking a spoonful of ice cream.
