-43- Peace

I....
Felt safe. Happy. As if no one could harm me again.
I looked at the person.
A tall man, 2,01 meters to be exact, thin and muscular. I knew him from when I was younger. He's a shadow demon, and quite the strong and smart one, despite being fully colorblind, he was never helpless.
And saved my ass quite a lot.
I smiled weakly as he sat down in front of me. Within moments I hugged him, and he hugged back, keeping me close.
"Why would you wait, Nightmare?", I mumbled into his chest. He rubbed over my head, sighing. "Didn't think you'd pass out, honestly. But hey, why do you think they came to you in the first place?", he replied calmly.
"What do you mean?"
"They believe they came here by their own idea. They didn't, really."
"Oh? But- Oh. I get it."
He chuckled and rubbed over my head some more. "I can't let him keep tormenting you, you need some help, Notch.", he whispered. I didn't know what to reply, really glad now. So I just snuggled into his chest some more, closing my eyes. He didn't stop me, just pulling me closer. A bit tired I glanced up at him, noticing he was smiling calmly.
He seemed so... Peaceful with me in his arms. He was so much taller and stronger than me, he almost seemed like a dad right now. But I didn't mind at all, it was very calming.
He'd make a great dad...
He giggled quietly at my thoughts and nuzzled me. "You know, maybe I will take the role of your dad. If you want this so badly...", he whispered. I perked up and looked at him. "Really...? You'd do that for me?", I asked carefully. But he nodded softly. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind. I at least want to give you what I didn't have."
I smiled happily and snuggled into his chest again, happy now. Finally!
Sure, this still feels very unusual, but it's great nonetheless.
I sighed happily and closed my eyes, feeling as he gently caressed my back. Nighty didn't mind to keep in his boundaries, not going too low or anything.
Speaking of boundaries...
I grew sad. He noticed immediately, getting worried. "What's wrong, Notch?", he asked. I sighed weakly. "You can't leave, can you?"
He stayed quiet as that dawned on him. I sighed weakly before looking confused at him when he started giggling. I glanced up at him, not understanding. "What's so funn", I asked. He giggled a bit more before stopping and smiling softly. "Who says I can't leave? I'm not dead. Well, not dead-dead that is. Technically speaking I died a long time ago, but that doesn't matter. Notch, I can leave whenever I want. I can Shadow walk.", he explained, calm. I looked confused at first before understanding and hugging him tighter than before, glad. "And you're sure about that?", I asked again. He nodded and reassured me. "Yup. 100%"
I smiled and snuggled back into his chest, relieved and happy now.
Eventually I fell asleep on his chest, hugging him tightly. My hands slipped down his hips, not noticing anything anymore. He didn't mind, staying still for me so I can rest. My dreams were... Peaceful. Happy.

When I woke back up, Nighty was lying down with me, sleeping next to me. I was lying between his arms, wrapped around me tightly so I'd be safe. He was snoring quietly, pulling me a bit closer. I smiled happily and snuggled up to him, holding his arms close to my chest. He smiled a bit in his sleep and continued to rest, so I stayed quiet and let him do so.
What surprises me tho is the fact that Entity hasn't shown up yet. Wether in my dreams, or my imagination, he wasn't there. He stayed away, which confused me a lot. Maybe Nightmare has something to do with that...
I mean, I don't mind, as long as he stays the fuck away. I was glad he wasn't here to disturb this perfect moment, I was so happy and save here, if he'd appear this would all be over way too soon for my likings.
It took a while until I noticed that Nightmare was looking straight at me with a soft smile. I hesitated before smiling. "Good morning.", I whispered and snuggled into his arms. He smiled and pulled me close, sitting up with me on his lap. "Good morning, kiddo.", he replied and wiped some hair away from his face. I giggled when it fell back down, causing him to sigh. "I really need to cut them at some point.", he mumbled.
"Agreed!"
After that we just cuddled. Tho somehow I started wondering how much time passed in the real world. I was unconscious there after all. Were the others worried? Were they confused? Did they think I'm dead? Or do they just ignore me? Did Entity attack them maybe?
There were too many questions and with each and every one I grew more and more scared.
Eventually I couldn't take it anymore.
"Hey, Nightmare?", I asked. He looked down at me, tilting his head. "Yes?"
"How much time has passed?"
"13 hours, 43 minutes and 59 seconds."
"Are they worried...?"
"Yeah, definitely. But I think they have a different problem."
"That would be?"
"Entity."
I fell quiet before I started panicking. "Can we get out and help them? Please?", I begged. Nightmare seemed to hesitate. "I don't want you hurt, No-"
"But I don't want them to die either!!"
He eyed me a bit before sighing. "Fine. We'll go get them.", he eventually mumbled, very reluctant and hesitant. He definitely didn't want me hurt, but neither of us wanted our friends to be harmed either.
I was glad he accepted, taking his hand.
"Then let's go!"
He looked at me worriedly before nodding and keeping me close protectively. Then we teleported to the Overworld and back to the HQ. I re-entered my body.
What I saw tho worried and scared me.

(I'm finally back after almost a full year ^^; Updates will still be slow tho, but not as bad as it just was!)
