(I had to put the picture up there, despite it not matching the chapter. I just found it so adorable XD)

The next day was quite silent. We were sitting at the kitchen table, eating out breakfast. Hero was unusually silent and Notch and I didn't know what to talk about, anyway. It was quite uncomfortable, but we all still felt bad about yesterday night. At least me and Notch.
Hero's expression was completely empty as he ate his cereal, his eyes staring blankly at the table. Notch gave me a nervous gaze as he looked at Hero. I carefully put my hand on his shoulder, but he immediately pushed it away, throwing a death glare at me. "Don't you dare touch me.", Hero growled, standing up. H was already done, so he left the kitchen, locking himself into the bedroom.
I sighed and buried my face in my hands. "I have no clue what to do anymore. I just can't seem to get to him.", I mumbled. Notch hesitated before taking a deep breath. "I'll go talk to him. Try and go outside and make yourself a nice day, I'll try to keep him busy. Alright?", he offered. I thought about it, being quite sceptical. "I don't know Notch. Do you really think you can repair this?", I asked hesitantly. Notch nodded. "Steve, you didn't notice it, did you? He seems to have something else on his mind which seems to trouble him. I'll try talking to him, maybe I'll find out what happened.", he explained. I paused before nodding. "I really didn't notice. Maybe that's why he was so tense. But he hid it very well. Alright, I'll go somewhere into the city, and you'll try to get him to talk." A bit hesitant I stood up before saying: "Thank you, Notch." He nodded, smiling slightly. "No problem."

(Half an hour later)
(Notchs' FoV)
Steve had left, causing me to be able to finally talk to Hero. I made two cups of warm milk and put them on a tablet with some cookies, bringing them up to the bedroom. With a soft grin I placed it on a table next to the door, softly knocking on it. "Hero? Can we talk?", I asked as soft as possible. Hero hesitated. "Is Steve with you?"
"No, he's in the city. He left about five minutes ago."
He still hesitated, but then sighed. "The door is open.", he mumbled. I took a deep breath, taking the tablet and opening the door carefully.
Hero was just sitting on the bed, barely moving as he watched me approach. I sat down next to him and placed the tablet on the bed between us.
"How do you feel, Hero?", I asked carefully. He hesitated for a moment before replying: "I'm fine." But I shook my head. "No you're not. You don't talk to Steve and you have something else on your mind, right?" Hero didn't reply. Instead, he took one of the mugs, taking a sip from the warm bavarage. "Why would you think that?", he asked instead and put the mug down. I sighed. "Hero, I just know it. We're siblings, and you're definitely hiding something important from us. What is it?", I continued asking. He still didn't say anything. But this time he didn't drink, either. He stood up, walking through the room and going to the window. "I have no reason to tell you anything, Notch."
Suddenly I noticed something. Some red color at the bottom of his shirt. It was only barely visible, but I still saw it. I stood up and went to him, gently taking his shirt and looking at the red color. Then I looked up at him. "Y-You...", I started, bit my voice broke. He slapped my hand, growling. "Yes I did! I killed someone again! Are you happy to know now?!", he hissed. "W-Why? I thought you snapped out of this.", I continued. Herobrine sighed, followed by a low growl. "I still don't have a reason for telling you.", he replied, seemingly pissed. I glanced at the door, somewhat hoping that someone would come in, and part of me just wanted to make sure that I have a safety exit if things go terribly wrong.
Herobrine sighed, rubbing his temples. "I just had the urge to do this, alright? I didn't quite want to, but I needed to.", he grumbled. "It's like a drug addiction. Once you're in it, you can only hope that this will stop." I swallowed. "There is another way to stop this, Hero."
"What? To lock me away? This won't work, Notch! I was locked away once until Steve came to me, breaking the chain. You can't repeat the same action twice.", he growled, fully aware what I was getting to. "How many times did you do it in the past few weeks?", I asked carefully. "A few times.", was his only reply. "Hero, in numbers." He let out a heavy and annoyed sigh. "35.", he then mumbled, looking away. I went a step back. "I'll tell Steve. He has to know.", I gasped. But in the moment Herobrine grabbed the collar of my shirt, pulling me closer to him and placing a knife on my throat. His white eyes stared right into my sould, making my body tremble uncontrollably. "Don't you dare tell him anything that went on in this room!", he hissed. I went completely pale, my eyes widened. "P-P-Please le-let me g-go...", I whimpered softly, grabbing his hand. Herobrine hesitated before dropping me, as well as the knife. "Oh no... It's starting again... Oh crap oh crap oh crap!", he mumbled, gripping his hair and looking away, his eyes filled with shock and fear. "I-It's best if I'd leave...", I whispered after some hesitance. But before I could even take a step towards the door, I heard the shattering of glass behind me, causing me to turn back to where Herobrine was standing. He was gone. Only some shards of glass and some blood was left behind, causing me to flinch. Did he just hurt himself as he jumped out of the window?!
I immediately ran towards it, looking out of it and down. But he was gone.
Instead, Steve stood there, completely confused. He saw me as he looked up, tilting his head. "What happened? Where's Hero?", he asked. I swallowed heavily before answering, my body shaking with pure dread.
"Steve, we might be in massive trouble."
