It had been about a week since your meeting with Ami in the dark room. She was back at school now, and was obviously avoiding you. It was painful.

She clearly didn't want to face the complications of what you said, so you decided to give her space.

One day, you sat alone on a bench during lunch, listening to music. You were jamming out to Elvis Presley, when Chaya came and sat beside you.

"What are you listening to?" she asked.
"Elvis," you said shyly.
"Ah, Ami likes Elvis."

You smacked pause and wrenched your headphones off. Your stomach turned sourly and you sat with your head in your hands.

"Y/n..?" Chaya placed a hand on your shoulder gingerly. "Is everything okay?"

She was so caring and genuine and funny. She really was perfect.

"No," you mumbled. "I said something stupid."
Tears began to well in your eyes, your vision blurring. You snorted.

"What did you say?"
"I asked if she loved me... I thought maybe I had a chance with a super hot cool jock troublemaker like her... but George keeps telling me otherwise..."

Chaya bit her lip, thinking for a moment. Finally, she said, "Take no notice of George, he just wants you for himself."

WHAT?!

You chuckled lightly. "No, he hates me. And I hate him too, I'm in my hating George arc."
Chaya raised her eyebrows. "Alright, let's head to class."

You two make your way to class, and you settle in your seat ready for maths. It's your favourite class, your teacher is lovely and very alternative. But today, you just can't lose yourself in the numbers. Something else plagues your mind, especially as you're sat right next to him.

Does George really like you? Was his way of getting your attention just being horrible?

But Ami...

But...
