I hate Cassie

Ellie and Jesse invited me to come play putt putt golf on the top deck. So I went and joined them to take my mind off what had happened. I'm not really good at stuff like that so every time I did a terrible shot I could blame it on the ship moving. As I expected I lost. But I was fun anyway. I went back to my room and watched 3 episodes of the Simpsons until it was time for dinner.
It was 5 to 6 and I left my room. I headed down to the dining area. As I waited in the crowded elevator, I was nervous about sitting with Joe. I was tossing up whether to go up to the buffet but I stuck with my plan. I mean, how hard will it be to explain to him that Cassie was lying? It wasn't really a big deal. I was hoping that it would work itself out but boy I was wrong. I finally got to our dining area and got shown to my table by my waiter. Joe was already sitting down. He didn't look happy.
"Hi" I said as I sat down
He didn't answer
"How was your day today?" I asked
No answer
"Look" I said. "Are you still holding a grudge about what happened this morning"
"You know exactly what I'm angry about" he replied in a pissed off fashion
"You have to believe me!!!"I said, "whatever Cassie said I did was a lie"
" I saw it though" he said
"What??" I said, "But I didn't push Cassie over so how did you see"
"What are you talking about?" Joe asked
"Wait, what are you talking about?" I asked
"You kissed another guy and not just any guy... Cassie's boyfriend" Joe said. "She's been in your room crying all day.
I was so confused
"No I didn't" I said " he just grabbed my face and kissed me!"
"Well how do you explain this then?"he grabbed out his phone and started playing a video. It was very strategically edited together to make it look like a lot happened. She had used the clip of me putting my hands on his shoulders from falling. She had edited the kiss to make it look longer.
"So you can't lie when I have video evidence" Joe said. " I know we only met 24 hours ago but I feel like I've know you for years and I couldn't stop thinking of you all night last night. I thought i meant something to you, but I guess not. I really didn't think you were this type of girl"
Joe got up and started to walk away
"Wait Joe come back" I yelled dramatically. A few tables around mine started look at me
"Cassie's right, you don't care about me, your just some crazy fan that I know nothing about." Joe said. I could here the disappointment in his voice.
"Wait, how did Cassie know that I'm some 'crazy fan'."
Joe turned around and started walking back. He sat down and said "I didn't tell her"
"Neither did I" i said" she must've been stalking me or something. "
"Oh" said Joe
"I promise I didn't kiss Adam, it was all set up by Cassie, as part of her plan to make you hate me." I said
"Well the video looked pretty legit." He said
"No" I said "she edited it"
"Okay" he said "let's just order food"
Our waiter came over and gave us the menus. I ordered a seafood platter, Joe wanted it too so we planed to share it. We talked for a bit. I think her forgave me but I wasn't 100% sure. We talked for a little while and then Cassie came over to our table and said "oh hey Joe, I'm really sorry that you have to sit with this bitch tonight."
''What?" Said Joe "but I'm not sitting with you"
Cassie gasped.
"Don't affend my friend like that" said Joe "If that was your plan to get with me, you really failed" Cassie looked really pissed off. I started to smile. I couldn't hold it any longer.
"Oh" Joe said "good luck finding another gym partner, and make sure you don't stop going because you really need it"
Cassie got out her hand and went to punch Joe in the face. It was like a saw it in slow motion and I wanted to protect him. I got up and slapped her hard in the face. She ran away crying.
"Thanks" Joe said "I'm sorry I didn't believe you"
"That's alright" I said. The waiter came over with our seafood, we ate it and then headed up to our room together.
We sat on our balconies, talked and watched the sun go down. Joe and I got up and kissed each other over the railing. "Goodnight" I said
"Goodnight"he said
I had another enjoyable, eventful and almost disastrous day.
