"Ok think" I said to myself, "how do we get out of here"
Joe was doing the same thing
"I know!!" Joe said excitedly
"What!?" I said
"We'll use the payphone to call my sister Zoe and I'll get her to send me money somehow"
"You know it takes like 2 weeks for packages to arrive here right?" I said
"Oh shit, I didn't think about that"' Joe replied. I could hear the disappointment in his voice
"We'll just use your phone then and do the bank details and stuff, my phones flat."
"Okay" I say and pull out my phone"
The worst possible thing happened. The stupid red battery. And then my phone ..... Died.
"Fuck" I said "Let's go then"
We walked out of the airport together and it was absolutely freezing. A boy - probably about 14 approached us.
"Hi" he said "I'm Mikey can I take a picture with you"
"Yeah sure" Said Joe
Mikey pulled out a brand new iPhone 7. Him and Joe smiled at the camera. I stood of to the side and a thought popped into my head.
"Thanks, bye" he said and ran off to his bike.
"Viewers" Joe said
I just stood there thinking.
"What are you doing Cora?" Asked Joe
I didn't even answer him, I just ran up to Mikey.
"Hey" I said awkwardly
"Hi" replied Mikey. He sounded freaked out.
Joe walked up to us.
"Would you like to spend a bit of time with Joe and I.
"I'm alright" he said extremely creeped out.
"Hold up" Joe said "help a guy out"
"Okay" Mikey said "soo......???"
"We need to use your phone, to access our bank details so we can get home."
"I don't know" he said "mum told me not to talk to strangers"
"Please Mike" Joe asked
He held out his phone to Joe
"Thanks bud, your a legend" he replied.
It was those words that made me realise what a great father he would be. But I DONT want to get ahead of myself. I mean I'm only 19 but anyway.
"He turned on the phone and did all the stuff that was needed.
"Thanks bye Mikey" he said as he handed over the phone.
Somehow Joe and I were able to get enough money from the bank to get a hotel room for the night. but his passport and my passports were gone and we were going to have to wait 6 weeks to get new ones.
I would say we had a pretty shitty day (except for the woohoo) but anyway the moral of the story is to BRING YOUR PASSPORT WITH YOU and don't trust bitches. I'll get back to the story later BYYEeeee
