Harry
Harry had only meant to stay with Louis and Niall for a few days, maybe a week tops. But here he was two weeks later and he was still reluctant to leave the bubble of happiness he had found within the small flat. His father was no longer a threat, Niall had driven past his apartment block a few times and there was no sign of him. But Harry was starting to feel as if he should get a move on with his life as he couldn't ignore his classes or assignments any longer and he needed to let Louis get back to his uni work too.
Fleetwood Mac was playing softly throughout the flat as Niall was out with his 'mystery girl' and Louis was at work, leaving Harry alone. Since Niall wasn't going to be back till the morning Harry had decided to cook Louis dinner as he would be tired from work and Harry thought it would be a good time to bring up moving out.
Louis had become noticeably reliant on Harry more-so this past week, and in all honesty Harry loved all the attention that Louis was giving him, or his curls which Louis spent hours playing with. But Harry had been trying to play it cool, he had never felt what Louis was making him feel for anyone before and he really didn't want to fuck it up.
The rice boiling on the stovetop drew Harry away from his thoughts and he removed the lid allowing the water to boil down. He had spent the afternoon cooking Thai green curry but he had made sure to user veggies instead of chicken, only because he felt bad for the poor birds caged up waiting to be killed. Although he'd never voice this to Louis as he would give him absolute hell for it.
Harry was wearing a slightly oversized lavender jersey and some of Louis's track pants which Louis had to roll up but they fit Harry perfectly. His hair had grown out from the sharp look he had been trying to maintain and a few rouge curls were tickling his temples. He had also found some fluffy grey socks when rummaging through Louis's draws trying to find some clothes to wear, and since the flat wasn't the warmest of places he figured Louis wouldn't miss them.
A soft buzzing caught Harry's attention and he reached to turn off the timer signalling that the food was ready. He set out two plates with rice and curry placing them on the coffee table in front of the couch just as the door opened and Louis walked in.
"What's all this?" Louis asked as he carelessly threw his bag into his room before plopping down onto the couch giving Harry a tired smile.
"Mmmm nothing much, just thought you'd be tired from work and I wanted to do something nice for you." Harry said returning Louis's smile flashing his dimples and dropping down onto the couch beside Louis passing him a plate.
Louis looked at the green meal skeptically before giving it a sniff making Harry laugh as he pushed the first forkful into his mouth.
"It won't kill you Lou and before you ask no it doesn't have any avocado in it." Harry said biting his lower lip to avoid laughing at Louis's reaction at the mention of avocados.
Louis hummed in approval as he dug into the meal before narrowing his eyes at Harry and swallowing, "Why am I sensing a but?" Louis asks raising an eyebrow at Harry's now sheepish expression.
"But there is something I wanna talk to you about.." Harry drags out the sentence as he really doesn't want make anything between them awkward.
Louis doesn't reply only nodding for Harry to continue, still devouring the meal that he had been so skeptical of.
