Delta stands and runs to her sister, ready to pull her into a hug. You can see the wheels turning in her head as she slows to a complete stop to check her first. The poor girl is covered in bruises. A split lip is the least of her problems. Blood lathers her hair and drips to the floor, meaning the wound is still open and raw. I look forward to Decker and see him completely stiff. Staring at Bea like you would have to physically pull his eyes off of her. I try to grab his attention with no avail, I need to know how she got here and how she was cleared. I won't take any chances with my girl.

"Are you okay? Where is the blood coming from? Oh god Bea baby I'm so sorry this is all my fault." The words fly from Deltas mouth fast and worried.

"Angel slow down. Bea please sit. I'll call doc to come and make sure you're okay, then we'll get some answers okay?" I explain carefully.

"Yeah...yeah yes that's good. Call doc she needs help. Are you okay?" Delta asks again.

"Yeah I'm okay. Just sore. And this blood, I don't know where it's coming from it won't stop. I'm okay just so happy to see you." Bea says through tears, finally breaking down in her big sisters arms.

I give them a moment to hold each other as I step out to call doc. After finding out that he will be at my apartment within 10 minutes, I set out to grill Decker.

I find my best friend still stiff as a board, eavesdropping in the kitchen.

"Deck." I bark out.

He finally meets my eyes for the first time since Bea arrived.

"Yeah sorry."

"All good brother. Give me all of the details."

He begins to explain that she was dropped out of a car that barely slowed down for her, right into the parking lot of the shop. He believes some of her injuries came from the fall but most were from earlier in the day. He got her name and did a quick search to make sure she was clean and exactly who she said she was.

"I called the prospects, they're doing a search for the car. Making sure the shop is all clear, just in case." Decker finishes.

"Okay. We'll get her patched up, get some answers and call Buck. This is good. I can't believe they just gave her up like that. We didn't even need to negotiate." I say cautiously.

"Exactly. No deal made. She wasn't a hostage. They used her for answers and spit her out. Now we just need to know why." He says, his eyes finding hers again.

I can't tell whether he wants to fuck her or kill her. He either finds her attractive or a big threat that needs to be contained. Either way, the passion in his eyes tell me that he's ready to end all of this shit, and end Dean.

"If I find out that Dean not only put his hands on Delta but also her sister? I'll kill the fucker with my bare hands." He says 'her sister' as if he has no clue who she is. Almost makes me laugh.

"He hurt Delta. He had a hand in hurting her sister. No matter what happens, what she says, he won't be alive much longer." I say under my breath, making sure only he can hear me.

"She might not like that my friend. Even after everything he's done, she's a woman filled with pride. She will probably want him to rot in jail. Not sure how she'd feel knowing her ex husband died at your hands." He explains just as quietly.

This isn't new information to me. I've thought about killing this guy from the moment she told me he laid his hands on her. But I've also gotten to know this girl very well and I know that no matter what, she wouldn't want his blood on my hands.

"What she doesn't know won't hurt her." I say finishing the conversation.
