"Fuck off darlin you're playing with fire." Red laughs out after I move some bubbles from his hair that I'm washing on to his face and beard.

"Hey I'm just trying to get you clean, I swear you have car grease so soaked into your face it would take me weeks to see your skin tone." I reply while continuing my bubble assault. Red laughs and begins to say something probably very crude before we both turn our heads hearing his phone vibrate on the counter. He quickly rinses his face and hair, shoots me a wink, slaps my wet ass and steps out of the shower. Dripping water all over the floor he picks up his phone.

"Red. Mhm. Ya got it. I'll do it but she's comin'. Mhm." He abruptly hangs up and turns to me as I'm stepping out of the shower and grab a towel.

"Two things. Your cars ready and we got a nice little trip to make." He states with no further explanation before grabbing a towel and heading out of the bathroom. I quickly dry my hair and my body, then drop my towel on the floor and use it to dry his mess. Heading to the closet I grab one of his million white t shirts, put it on and go to look for him. I find him pulling on a pair of jeans in his bedroom.

"My car is done and we have a little trip to make? Any explanation would be appreciated." I say to his back while I pick up my hairbrush and run it through my hair. This all feels very domestic to me, it's kind of freaking me out to be honest.

"Prospects just finished with some final touches on the Mustang, and the both of us are gunna go to California. I got some club business to deal with down there and I figured with you hearing the news about Dean that you'd be down for a little change of scenery." He says with an eyebrow raised pulling on a shirt. He's probably waiting for me to protest, stating that he doesn't get to tell me what to do, but his dominating side is making me want to do anything he says.

"California. Wow I haven't been there since I was a kid. And what do we have to do there?" I ask pulling on a pair of jeans as well.

"Me angel, not you. But your company will make the trip bearable. We can get some sun and salt water and eat some good food. Lay low for a few days, make up a plan on how to deal the Dean situation. Clubs lawyers workin on divorce papers for ya, you say the word and they're sent."

Divorce papers. I should feel something, relief, fear, excitement, dread. But instead I feel...nothing. This impromptu trip to California on the other hand has filled me with plenty of emotions: fear because I know this has something to do with the club so it's definitely dangerous -- and excitement because anything to do with being with Red for a long period of time will always be a good thing.

"Can I see my darling?" I ask hopefully.

"Of course darling." Red says with a laugh and one last shake of his long wet hair before heading out the apartment door and down the stairs. I grab a bra because one time braless in the shop was more than enough for me, then follow him to finally see my car in working order.
