RED
You would think I would get used to walking into my apartment to find my girl and mama drunkenly dancing around half dressed — but somehow it's still shocking. My girl is back in the little leather mini skirt she wore last time, but it's paired with a dark blue corset-like thing this time. The sight makes me stop. This is the sexiest girl in the world I'm sure of it. She throws her head back to laugh as something mama screams, but I don't hear it. My ears are ringing and I have tunnel vision.
"And she couldn't stop it so she had to finish it! All in one go!" I hear mama scream at me. Confused what she's talking about I shake my head and look to her. She hits me with a look that says 'I know you have no clue what I said, you were too busy staring at Delta'. She's not wrong there.
"She finished what?" I say finally bringing myself into the conversation. Delta jumps down off the table, runs towards me and throws her arms around my neck.
"Oh she's just being mean. She tapped the top of my beer with hers and I didn't want it to spill so I chugged it. She's trying to get me in trouble for being a little drunk again when you get home." She explains before smacking a kiss on my lips. She pulls back, looks me in the eyes and gives me a big smile. I wrap my arms around her waist, pick her up, turn around and toss her down on the kitchen island.
"Hey!" She laughs. "My friend is still here! Hands off bucko." Delta continues her pathetic assault on my chest with her tiny hands before I turn to see mama has made herself quite comfortable on my couch.
"Don't mind me you two, I'll just be here." She says taking a big chug of beer.
"Mama you're always welcome here but read the fuckin room huh? Take a few beers for the road." I say, gesturing towards the fridge. After a massive sigh she pulls herself from the couch and heads towards the fridge.
I bring my eyes back to my girl who looks like she can barely contain her laughter.
"Hi baby. Can you get me from the shop? Yeah reds gotta peel all the clothes off his girl so I gotta get out of here. Yeah no I'll grab a few beers for us we can go down to the river and makeout. Love you daddy." Mama says before hanging up the phone, grabbing 6 beers from my fridge tucked away in her arms, tossing me a wink and walking out the door.
What a woman.
"Daddy!" Delta laughs. "That was NOT her dad." She wraps her legs around me and runs her hands through my hair.
I let out a low groan, fuck that feels good.
"No angel, that was not her dad." I laugh out and lean forward to put my lips on her neck.
She matches my moan.
"Still holding on to the whole no sex while I'm married thing?" She whispers in my ear.
Fuck this girl kills me. I won't take her when she's still married to another guy. Not the mention that other guy is a fuckin loser but, I can't do it. Call me old fashioned but it just doesn't feel right. She's already mine. I'll die for this fucking girl, the club would die for her. But this is the one thing I can't budge on.
"Yeah baby. But he has the papers, only a matter of time now. Doesn't matter, you're mine. I make you feel good. And I'll keep makin' you feel good for the rest of my life. You hear me?" I say seriously, pulling back to look her in the eyes — ensuring she knows just how serious I am.
She nods silently.
"Good. You wanna keep havin' fun? Stressful as fuck telling all the boys everything that happened in Cali. Planning our next move. Next couple days are bound to be a little fucked up angel. Gunna need you to just hold on okay?" I ask seriously.
She laughs again "Is this where my by favour comes in? You know I'll do anything for you." She asks reminding my of my bullshit request. When I first laid eyes on this girl I knew she wouldn't do anything for free, and wouldn't take any handouts. She would work her ass off to fix her car on her own, and she could have. But I had to find out a way to convince her that I needed her as much as she needed me.
I hate that this whole thing is built on a lie, but maybe I'll just hold on to that little favour for a later date. Who knows what I'll need her to do in the future.
"No baby this isn't my favour. This is some serious club shit that I want you to know all about but don't want you to be a part of. It's not safe." I explain carefully, running my hand through her hair.
"Oh! By the way mama called her friend at the shelter, I have to go in tomorrow and start working right away they're super understaffed. I have a job! And I don't hate it. I get paid for something I've always volunteer for!" She squeals jumping off the counter to do a little dance. I turn around and rest my back against the counter to watch her.
Delta is like having a little sun always following me around. She's warm and bright and makes me feel alive. I'm stressed as fuck but somehow this girl brings a smile to my face.
I don't know how she does it but I know I'm gunna make it last.
