RED
I'm feeling things I've never felt before. I'm not one to talk about emotions or let anyone see how I'm feeling, but I can guarantee most men in this room can see the rage boiling off of me.
The corners of my eyes start to go black and I need to get out of here before Delta sees the true reason why the club calls me Red. I see black, they see red. Everywhere.
Hearing Delta defend her fucking loser ex husband was the cherry on top of this shit pile. I was already fuming over him declaring to our enemy MC that he wants his wife back, and then hearing her call him a 'good guy' I thought I thought my mind. This is all so tucking crazy. How is this guy involved with our clubs feud? What could he possibly want with the woman he ignored for years then threw around?
Unfortunately I don't have time to calm myself down or take a ride to try to make some sense of this because the girl I swore I would protect is about to go catatonic. Her baby sister is involved somehow. It's the only way he could possibly know where my angel is hiding, but from what Delta has told me there is no way her sister would sell her out. So basically, this is fuckin bad.
I shake my head, attempting to clear all the shit out of my head and turn to my angel. "Sh sh sh angel, don't even go there. Anyone lays a finger on your sister, same rules apply as if they touched you. They're dead. We'll figure this out." I say after I grab her chin to make sure she hears me loud and clear.
"We've got some shit to do here. Prospects, you go down to the motel and make sure everything's ready for the Cali boys. Staff and ladies, start cleaning this shit show up. Blood off the floors and clean up all the debris, the boys will come in tomorrow and fix all the walls and furniture. Decker and Red, you two come with me." Buck announces, ending the meeting.
I grab Deltas hand and lead her into the office behind me. Luckily the office is the only room that is still fully intact.
"Alright Delta you're gunna call your sister on speakerphone. Get a feel of what we're dealing with here." Buck says as he sinks into his massive office chair.
I force Delta to sit and put myself directly behind her with my hands on her shoulders. She wordlessly pulls out her phone and starts to dial, clearly already anticipating the worst.
The phone rings and rings before we all hear her baby sisters voicemail message.
"Don't get freaked out angel, she barely ever answers. She's always the one to call you." I ensure her, knowing that there is know why my words are being heard.
"We have to go get her. What if he has her? What he did to me... he's clearly capable of evil." Delta chokes out. Good to hear her finally speak the truth about him instead of defending him. I feel my chest inflate slightly.
"Call your parents. We need whatever we can get." Decker suggests from the corner of the room.
Again she dials only this time the answer is immediate.
"Hello?" A deep voice answers.
"Daddy?" She squeaks out.
"Jesus Christ Delta. Where the hell have you been? Where did you go? You just abandon your family? Your husband? What kind of wife are you? Your mother has been at the spa for weeks on and off barely surviving the stress that you've placed on our shoulders." Her father screams.
Delta instantly sinks into her seat filled with shame. This guy is clearly a character. And her mom sending herself off to a spa when her daughter is missing makes me almost laugh out loud. Almost.
"Daddy I'm so sorry. I can't answer all of that right now, just know that I'm okay and that you'll see me soon. I just need to know if you've heard from Bea or Dean."
"The nerve you have to ask how your poor husband is without you. Where do you get off?" He scoffs.
This guy is pissing me off.
"Daddy please just tell me about them." She begs.
"Bea was over last night for dinner, dean stopped by. He's been worried sick about you, you know. Even has his great friends down at the station out looking for you every day." He explains.
"Bea was there last night? At the same time as Dean? Did they leave together?" She asks quietly.
"What's going on here Delta? Of course they didn't. Bea wouldn't even look at him. Like she felt so bad for the guy she couldn't even make eye contact. He left before dinner." His voice full of suspicion.
"Okay I have to go daddy, I'm so sorry I promise everything will be okay."
"No no no, no you wait young lady..." Her father screams before she ends the call abruptly.
"Take your SIM card out. He'll call you back." Decker suggests.
"Its the only number Bea has for me... her only way to contact me, I can't." She whispers.
I grab the phone, scroll through and block the number for her father she just dialled.
"Blocking him is the best we can do for now, gotta keep this line open. Angel I'm sorry but you know what we have to do next." I say, trying to keep my voice as even as possible.
She doesn't need to know that this next phone call could actually kill me. She's mine, no one will ever change that.
"Yeah. I have to call him."
