RED
Deltas pretty little car is all loaded up and ready to go. I just want to get this shit over with. Atlantic Ave is about 20 minutes away from the clubhouse, but we need men on feet surrounding the entire place. Our bikes will bring too much noise and attention, this needs to be seamless and perfect.
Mama messed around with a loser in the skulls before she met her husband. My boss. My fearless leader. Who would have ever imagined that something she did as a teenager, would somehow tie into the seemingly innocent woman that I've fallen in love with. Delta, the girl with the perfect background and immaculate family — is just as messed up in all this shit.
I can see that look in her eye, the bravery filled, balls to the wall look that scares the shit out of me. She wants to do something stupid that she might consider heroic, but I would just consider fucking stupid. If she thinks she could sacrifice herself for me or any of my men, and it would be worth it? She's batshit crazy. So not only do I need to figure this whole situation out, find out what the skulls want with my girl and mama, but I also need to make sure she's in line.
Don't get me wrong. I will never control her. A girl like Delta was never meant to be contained. She's meant to run free, travel the world with her white hair blowing in the wind, letting people fall in love with her charm, outsmarting men at every step. That is the life she was made to live and I will never do anything to stop that. But I will do everything and anything in my power to ensure her safety. Simple as that.
"Red." Decker grunts from the office door. "Cars all ready. Guys have headed out to scope the place out, give us the details on the surroundings. They'll call when they have a place for us to park and let the girls out so we're not seen."
"This is fucked up decker. Wish we could just go in guns blazin', clear those losers out. Finish this once and for all."
"We need to know what they want. Need to end this. Nothing will happen to mama or Delta. They're our property, our family. You also need to remember that we not only have 20 of our guys, but 17 Cali boys. Even if they're all fully loaded, they can never outweigh us." He states bluntly. Leaving no room for argument. Classic Decker move.
"Well I guess we better get this show on the road huh?" I finish while standing up from behind the desk.
Guess this is happening, and it's happening right now.
                              —
I find my angel leaning against her mustang in the parking lot. Looking like a maxim covergirl, but I know that mouth will always be way more attractive than anything else about her. Her eyes meet mine and my world lights on fire. I swear to god no one has ever looked at me the way she does. Like I hung the god damn moon, just for her.
"Angel. You ready?" I ask slipping my hands around her hips, picking her up, and setting her down on the hood of her car.
"As I'll ever be." She says with a gulp. I capture her mouth to distract her from everything going on inside that beautiful little head of hers. I find my hands wandering over her fucking glorious ass, up her back, to her neck. I give it a gentle squeeze before taking my lips off of hers.
"Delta, gotta tell you something." I say, keeping my eyes locked with hers. This is the time. She needs to know I love her. I hope she doesn't think it's spur of the moment, or just because we're going into a dangerous situation. I just can't keep this shit inside me anymore, I feel like I'm going to burst.
"What's wrong baby?" She asks, more concern in her voice than I've ever heard.
"Nothing bad angel, just something I've been thinking for awhile. Figured with everything going on there's no reason to keep anything private between the two of us."
"You're freaking me out." She explains, running her fingers through my hair, down my neck. She wraps her legs even tighter around my waist. Goosebumps cover my whole body.
"Angel I love you. Have for a bit now. I know I've told you that you're mine, that I'm yours. That I want my whole life to be spent with you. Just figured I should spell it out for ya." I spit out.
Her eyes fill with light. Her baby blue eyes are brighter than the ocean. Sparkling like fireworks on the Fourth of July.
                              "You love me?"
"Red. Problem." I hear from the distance. I'm struggling to focus on anything other than the dumbstruck woman in my arms.
                              "Seriously. Red." I hear again.
I finally turn my head to see decker and some random guy running towards us.
Dropping my arms from around Delta I turn to shield her with my back.
                              "What." I bark out.
"This is Ace, with the Cali crew. He just saw Mama drive off, stole her old mans ride. This is fucked up Red she could fuck this whole plan. Our guys aren't even there yet, no clue what the fuck to do." He spits out.
"She rode off? What the fuck!" I turn and slam my hands on the hood of the car. Fuck. I turn to make sure I didn't freak Delta out, but see her staring at the ground.
                              Looking guilty as fuck.
"Angel. Something you'd like to say?" I demand.
She keeps her eyes on the ground.
I reach up and grab her by the chin, forcing her eyes on mine.
"Angel." I bark out, making her flinch.
"I just.... I was supposed to be on the back of that bike."
