When they made it back to their home, they had to figure out a new plan. But Katerina couldn't get one thought out of her head: Helmut looked very good in the motel. Sure she always thought he looked good, but the controlled rage in his eyes and body made her think of things she shouldn't. They were colleagues, friends, nothing more.
"Katerina, what is on your mind? You haven't talked in an hour." Helmut said, snapping the woman out of her thoughts. She blushed heavily, ashamed of her thoughts.
"Nothing. I'm just... stuck in my thoughts." She said with a sigh. Helmut closed the book in his lap and got up from his place across from her.
"My dear, You can tell me anything." He said softly, moving her chin with his thumb and index finger and tilted her head up to him. He was leaning over her, his eyes set on her face. It made her shudder in anticipation. What is on his mind? They both asked each other that a lot. They were excellent at reading people, but they could never tell what the other thought when it came to each other.
"I'll tell you when we get home." She said, her lips falling into a pout as his fingers slowly went to her jaw. She watched him stare at her full lips, and her thoughts ran wild. Did he feel the same?
"Does it have something to do with what happened at the HYDRA base? Or the look in your eyes as that man died? Or the way you look at me when you feel..." He didn't finish the sentence, leaving his words up for her imagination. Katerina drew in a shaky breath, staring into his eye before they fell to his thin lips. She wanted to kiss him again. But she didn't want it to be on a plane. So, she smiled, bit her lip, and kissed his hand before turning back out the window.
She heard him gasp at her ministrations, and she smiled triumphantly. Maybe he did feel the same.
When they made it back to Helmut's apartment, Katerina didn't glance at him as he watched her move to the kitchen. He followed after her and leaned into her body as she looked into the pantry.
"Do you want to talk about it now?" He asked in a whisper at the shell of her ear. She shuddered but refrained from looking at him.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She sighed. His hands rested themselves on her hips, and she could feel them flex and squeeze against her body.
"Look at me then." He growled. Katerina sucked in a breath before she turned in his grasp to meet his flaming eyes. She felt another shiver run up her body at the sight.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She whispered, and her heart thumped wildly in her chest. Helmut chuckled with a dark undertone, his chocolate eyes searching her hazel ones.
"I think... that you felt... aroused by what you saw." He whispered. Katerina's eyes widened at how easy he could read her body language. She shifted in place, feeling exactly how he spoke of her.
