Land Of Magic

Truth

Jack and Spot were still in the forest and were hiding in the bushes. Jack got up and told Spot to follow him and as they were walking, he heard Hannah. "Hey, Jack!" She ran out from the other side of the forest. "Hi, Hannah."

What are you doing here", Hannah asked. "I wanted to explore some more." Jack had decided to lie because he didn't want to tell Hannah the truth. "Oh, I have a secret to tell you." Jack wasn't a huge fan of secrets. He thought they were hard to keep, especially really good ones. But he also worried about things like what if someone was eavesdropping and they heard the secret. Then someone would blame it on someone else for sharing when they never did. Even with him worrying though, he listened to her secret. "What is it?"

"So, I overheard my dad, saying that we are going to Crasa De Vasa." Hannah seemed really excited, but Jack was confused. "Crasa what?" "Crasa De Vasa, or as humans would say it, Land of Magic."

"Land of magic?" "Yes, Land of Magic. It's a realm that our people can go to. We go there when we are 13 and I am finally 13. My birthday was yesterday."

"My birthday was yesterday too." "That is so cool", Hannah said. Jack was happy that he had something in common with someone else. That doesn't happen that often. Jack looked at Spot. Jack had always wondered what Spot thinks about. He thinks that Spot doesn't like his mother just as much as he doesn't. "Why is the place called Land of Magic?"

"I can't tell you since you're human." Jack wondered what would happen if she told him. Would someone get hurt? Would he die? Or maybe Hannah just simply wants to keep some things in her life private. Jack wasn't mad about that of course. He fully supported that. "Is there any chance that I can come with you to Casa De Vasa?"

"No!" Jack jumped a litttle because of the loudness and the tone of Hannah's voice. "Sorry, umm no you can't", she said, much calmer this time. Jack didn't want to ask why so he just left it at that. "Where is your sister?" Hannah hesitated to answer that question, but she couldn't resist.

"Lana is getting married!" Hannah yelled in excitement. Jack started smiling. It was very funny when Hannah got excited. Jack doesn't see people express their feelings very much so, when Hannah did this it was hilarious. "There's more to be excited about though. Not only is she getting married, but she's marrying the prince of Crasa De Vasa. He is the richest man ever. He has a lot of prennebles." Jack stood there confused. "Prennables?"

"Oh, it's the currency that we use in this forest and other realms and cities but when Lana does marry him, she gets half of his money! Lana is going to be rich. Just like her husband!" Hannah could not stop yelling. She was just too excited. Jack started smiling again. Seeing people express their feelings was just a happy moment for him. "Do you know any people that have gotten married in your family?" "Only my mom and dad."

Jack seemed to be in a gloomy mood, and he was speaking in a sad tone. Hannah could sense this and she wanted to make him feel better. Then an idea came to her head just like that.

Hannah grabbed Jack's hand. "Follow me." Before Jack could say anything, Hannah began to run, and Spot chased after them. "Where are we going?" "You'll see." Then out of nowhere Hannah came to a stop and when Jack looked ahead of him to see why he saw a wonderful place full of gems and crystals and wonderful smelling flowers. There were mushrooms and birds. It was so very pretty. 

Jack wanted to jump down and go explore. Then something clicked in Jack's mind. How is that there? He was confused and started wondering. How can it be there if we are already on the ground? Before Jack could even ask Hannah for an explanation, she did something that not even Spot would expect. She jumped and since the two were holding hands, Jack fell along with her and then Spot jumped too.
