It's Over

Noah and Callan are walking to the castle that Prince Verlice lives in when they pass by a woman whose hair looks oddly familiar. 
     “Noah, doesn’t that lady look like the woman with golden hair?”
     Noah looks over to his left and the woman turns around, revealing her face. Noah gasps and the woman stares at him.
     “Noah, are you alright?”
     Noah begins to shake and his lip starts to quiver. The woman smiles a devilish smile and slowly walks towards them.
     “Noah? Do you know her?”
     “I’ve missed you so much my boy. You’ve grown up so well. You look just like your dad.”
     Callan gasps. “Are you his mom?”
     The woman rolls her eyes and sighs. “Unfortunately, that’s the case. Did he tell the story?”
     “Noah, we need to get out of here. Noah, come on.”
     Noah wouldn’t move and stayed still, standing in place. Callan began to panic and then he heard a familiar voice calling out his name. Callan turned around and saw Jan with Elysia and Rai.
     “Elysia and Rai. They’re here. They’re here! Noah, they’re here!”
     Callan slaps Noah. “Noah, snap out of it! Elysia and Rai are here!”
     “No they’re not. It’s my mom’s magic. She can make anyone see things. She can also shapeshift”
     Noah was speaking in a monotone voice and Callan continued to see Elysia.
     “Noah, we need to go. Let’s not make a scene.”
     “No. If this is where I die then sobeit.”
     Callan grabs Noah’s hand and pulls him away. Noah runs with him and stares at his mom as they continue to run away.
     “I’m sorry…”
     Callan and Noah stop in an alleyway and Callan looks at Noah. “Noah, are you okay?”
     Noah covers his face and tears start streaming down his face. “She’s here. She’s here. She’s here and she’s here to kill me.”
     Callan walks over to Noah and hugs him. “It’s alright. We won’t let her kill you. I won’t. That’s a promise.”
     “Aw, how nice of you, Callan. Comforting your so-called dog.”
     Callan and Noah look over and see Jan. “So, I bet you’re looking for your sisters, but they’re in a much better place. I need to keep them safe if I want this plan to go well.”
     Callan starts to walk towards Jan, but Noah stops him. “We don’t know if it’s Jan. That could just be my mom.”
     “You’re right. You almost fooled me.”
     Jan rolls her eyes. “Ashton and Lana, come out now.”
     Ashton and Lana jump off of the building and into the alleyway. Callan looks behind him and Noah does the same.
     “Lana?”
     “I’m so sorry, Callan. I’m just in all this for the money and Ashton or as you know him, Prince Verlice.”
     “But you saved my life. You stopped me from dying.”
     “It was all part of an act. Now, it’s time for you to pay up, Jan. I didn’t do all this work just to not get paid.”
     Jan takes a gun out of her back pocket and points it at Lana. Lana gasps. “What are you doing?!”
     She smiles. “I’m doing my part of the job. I need to be the queen of Crasa De Vasa, which means that I need to become the queen of this kingdom that owns Crasa De Vasa.”
     Lana looks at Ashton and he moves away from her and walks over to Jan. “I don’t like her very much, but I need to dominate this Kingdom and with little people like you three I wouldn’t be able to.”
     Lana begins to shake and Noah runs over to her, followed by Callan. “Lana, why did you betray us? You told me that you’d help me find them.”
     “I’m sorry.”
     Callan turned to look at Jan and then he saw a portal. “Finally, Gordon is here.” A tall skinny man who seemed to be 6’4’ walked out of the portal. He was wearing all red, his hair was red, and his skin tone was pale.
     “Sorry I’m late. You wouldn’t believe all the traffic they have in this kingdom.”
     “Just do your job.”
     Gordon takes a bag out of the portal and pulls Elysia and Rai out of it. Callan starts running towards them then suddenly, he stops. He tries to move, but it’s no use.
     “Jack! Jan took us to this scary place and she did things to us and it hurt so bad! Please, don’t let her continue! Please, Jack!.”
     Elysia starts yelling about the things that Jan had done and Jan tries to shut her up. Callan continues to try to move. Noah takes a step towards Callan and then he stops. The same thing has happened to him.
     “Don’t try to move! It just makes it worse!”
     Callan stops trying to move and starts to become aggravated.
     “Now, let me explain my plan. This place will be exploding in seven minutes. Not just this alleyway, but this entire kingdom. Once I do that you’ll all be gone and I’ll be on my way to become the queen of Crasa De Vasa.”
     “Jack! Do something! Think!”
     “Gordon, shut her up!”
     Gordon reaches into his bag and pulls out some tape. He tapes her mouth shut and she tries to take it off by moving her mouth continuously.
     “It’s no use, Elysia. That tape has magic in it and there’s no way that a little girl can break it with her beer strength.”
     Jan walks over to Callan and pretends to pout. “I really enjoyed being your mom so I’ll let you die in a much more peaceful way. How about your mother killing you. Your real mother.”
     Asteria walks into the alleyway followed by Noah’s mom. “I’m so sorry…”
     Jan touches Callan and he’s able to move again. He falls onto the ground and doesn’t look up. “Noah, I know I told you that I wouldn’t let you die, but I don’t think I can live up to my promise.”
     Jan walks away from Callan and looks at Asteria. “He’s all yours.”
     Asteria walks over to Callan. “Your father’s dead now. I killed him for good. Only I knew how to kill him and I actually did it this time. If you really want to kill me then you’d look deep within yourself. If you really want to save Elysia and Rai then you’d look even deeper. Think, Callan. Think about how you can get out of this situation.”
     Callan starts to cry and his tears fall onto the ground. “Mom?”
     Callan looks up at his mom and she smiles slightly.
     “Did you ever really love me?”
     Asteria’s smile fades and she looks down to her right.
     “Did you? Please, tell me.”
     “No. I’m sorry.”
     Callan lets his head fall and he starts to cry. Noah begins to move again and Lana stays against the wall. “Callan, you made a promise. Not only to protect me, but to protect Lana and Hannah as well. You also said that you’d save your sisters. What happened to that?”
     “It’s over, Noah. We’re dead. We’re all dead.”
