The four of them were having a great time laughing, reminiscing over things, and getting to know each other. They spent at least an hour giggling and telling jokes and simply having fun for as long as they could because they knew that this fun would end very soon. Soon they would have to get serious, they would have to become strong, they would have to fight, they would have to kill, they would have to risk their lives, and they might not see each other ever again.
Having fun, laughing, giggling, reminiscing, joking, it was all for them to have good memories. Just something for them to remember just in case they did lose their lives, they would want to remember all the great times they had with each other so why not make new memories.
"We should get going now. We need to get serious about this. We've been wasting time talking and laughing when we could've been searching. Let's go out there and find Jack's sisters, saving them is more important than our fun. Let's go start doing what we were supposed to be doing before we lose Jack's sisters and if that happens then he'll truly be alone. That's not what anyone should want or have to experience so let's get back on track." After Noah finished talking, he got up and threw away his leftover food and went outside to wait for everyone else.
Lana pressed her lips together and sighed, "He's right, we need to get serious about this. This is no time to have fun no matter how nice it was, we need to find Juliana and Jannet. That's what we came here for and that's what we'll accomplish." Hannah nodded and Jack smiled slightly as a tear rolled down his face. "You guys really care about helping me that much? If that's true, then thank you for everything and I'll do my best to be of help to you. I'll do anything, I'll even risk my life if it means that you guys and my sisters are safe." Jack got up and walked over to the trash bin to throw away his remaining food.
Lana and Hannah followed closely behind him and did the same before the three of them walked outside. They saw Noah leaning against the wall and they went over to him. "So are you guys gonna get serious or not", Noah quietly asked them. "We're ready when you are", responded Jack, who had a slight smile on his face. Noah looked up and at Jack, "Then let's go find them, let's go save them." Everyone nodded and started walking along the sidewalk to fit in with the crowd. They kept their heads low and didn't speak, but still managed to stay together in a group.
Even when it started raining, they continued walking the streets. Then they saw an ally and snuck into it one by one. Hannah was last to sneak into the ally. "Hannah, Lana, do you guys' mind turning into your Unicorn forms right now", asked Noah. "Wait", Jack said a little loudly causing the three of them to look at him. Then Jack whispered, "I think someone is watching us." "How do you know that? Maybe you're just being paranoid", Lana said. "Lana, remember who Jack's real mother is, knowing that information you should at least somewhat believe him", Noah interrupted.
Hannah looked around them and asked, "Do you know how many are watching?" Jack nodded and said, "It feels like there's three middle-aged adults, seven young adults, two older teens, and three early teens. That's what it feels like, but I'm not sure." Noah groaned, "So you're saying that fifteen people are watching us? Get ready to fight guys, even if you don't know how to, just try. Try for Juliana and Jannet because we said we'd save them, didn't we?" Everyone nodded and waited for people to attack.
Jack inhaled and exhaled calmly and whispered to himself, "I will save you Juliana and Jannet, I will get you both back alive. Even if it means that I have to die saving you. I'm ready to risk my life to save them, I'm ready to kill and to be killed, I'm ready for everything." Then they heard sounds and voices coming from every point in the alley, then Noah asked, "Are you sure it was only fifteen?" Jack shook his head and said, "No, that's just what it felt like. Maybe they have some kind of power like you guys or something even better."
