Tara's POV
Stepping out of the shower, i wrapped myself in a towel and slumped to the floor beside the radiator. I stayed there for a few minutes, waiting to see if Theo was still next door. His scent was still there but only lingering, his heartbeat however was gone, indicating he'd left. With this new found information i pulled my towel tightly round me before stepping out into the room. I was alone. I thought I'd want some peace and quiet. I thought I'd want some time to be alone without Theo, but now that I've for it, I don't want it. My room feels empty without him here. I glanced around and noticed a note on my desk by the window with my name on it. Picking it up, I admired the handwriting that reminded me of an ancient scrawl, passing the paper between my hands before turning it over to read.

Theo's POV
How could I let that happen? My wolf took over and tried to mark her and its all my fault. I couldn't stop him from taking control and by the time I managed it was too late. She'd woken and knew what was happening. Right there, in that moment I hated myself for allowing it to get that far. The look in her eyes before she stormed into the shower told me she hated me too. When she stormed toward the bathroom I had to tell her I was sorry and that I loved her but she replied with a smile. That rejection alone tore at my insides. I couldn't be here when she returns. With that thought I looked around the room for a pen and paper and found a notepad full of drawings on her desk, I was in a hurry so I didn't take the time to observe them. I just skipped to the back and tore out a page before beginning to write.
Tara,
i'm sorry for leaving, and if you feel like i've let you down. I couldn't stay here and wait for you coming out, i needed to go and get in control of my wolf. I just needed a long run to let him out and burn off some steam. We were just starting to see eye to eye and then I let something stupid like that happen. I'm sorry about it and i wish i could take it back. I hope you won't let it get in the way and I hope we can continue to get to know one and other. You really are special Tara and I promise to show you just how special. But for now, I'll see you later.
Theo.
With that I left her house, changing into my wolf and headed for a certain spot in the woods that I knew would help to calm me down. As I neared the clearing beside the waterfall, I couldn't help but give a Wolfy smile at the trees surrounding the clearing that were bright pink in full blossom. I've came here since I was a kid. Whenever I needed space, this is where I would come. It was like my little place of peace. Nobody else knew about it but me. I lay on the edge of the river where I could watch the waterfall and placed my head on my paws.

Tara's POV
His message was simple and sweet but yet, it pulled at my heart strings. Theo thought I was special? Maybe I shouldn't be too hard on him. It was a mistake. An accident. I knew that already but I hadn't forgiven him so why was I trying to change my mind now? I could be fine without him couldn't I?
No of course not.
Shut up Wolfy.
Admit it you need him.
I so don't!
Keep telling yourself that.
With that my wolf drifted back into my mind. Was she right did I need Theo? Something told me I did. Although I was unsure, I knew I needed to make this right. Dropping the towel, I walked to my window and leapt out of it changing into my wolf mid-jump. I took of in the direction of the woods, where I picked up Theo's heavenly scent and followed it for around 6 miles before I could hear running water in the distance. My paws carried my till I broke out into the most beautiful clearing I've ever seen.
In the middle was a small waterfall that glistened and sparkled in the sunlight as it led to a small river. Even from a far, I could see the rainbow of colour in the water of the river, indicating the presence of fish. A handful of small boulders lay around the edge of the river, acting as seats to watch the life of the waterfall and river. Looking around, I noticed the clearing was surrounded by tightly packed trees, all in full blossom and they shone a beautiful light pink. Along the floor, in between the trees were blackberry bushes. They bore no fruit because of the time of year but all in all, they completed the mysterious look that this clearing gave off. I faced forwards again and my eyes landed on a familiar wolf by the river. I knew it was Theo by his scent.
As I approached my mate, I picked up on the guilty and sadness consuming his aura and filling the air. I could instantly feel his sorrow and I couldn't help the whimper that escaped me as I lay beside him resting my head on his. He let out a grunt that caused me to chuckle. He lifted his head and looked at me strangely before letting out his own Wolfy chuckle. In that moment, the sadness disappeared from the air but the guilt remained and I knew he had to know I forgave him. So I leaned over so my snout was right by his face before I give him a sloppy lick from his nose, all the way up past his eyes and ended behind his ears. I immediately jumped on and watched the shocked look on his face before he too got up and crouched in front of me in pouncing position. I took that as my hint to turn and run. Only I miscalculated my turn and fell straight into the river.
From the surprise fall, I'd unconsciously changed back into human form. I was now lay on my back in the river. I put my hands by my sides and propped myself up on my elbows and looked up at Theo who was rolling on his back letting out a weird squeaky sound that I guessed was a wolfs laughter.
'Theo! Are you laughing at me!"
