6. I Love You

Tara's POV

No way. As if he just rang me. How on earth did he get my number? Why did he call me. The moment i heard his voice, i cancelled the call. He didn't take the hint thought. Every few minutes my phone was ringing. The sounds of Taylor Swifts voice was really beginning to get on my nerves. Usually hearing my phone ring and hearing her voice, would brighten my mood instantly. Her beautiful and inspiring voice would warm my insides. But today, knowing it's him, it's just ticking me off.

Drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rain. Kiss me on the sidewalk, take away the pain.

Taylor swifts voice echoed around my room and i couldn't control my body as i reached for my phone and answered the call just to hear Theo bellowing at me down the line.

"Tara! What are you doing! Why wouldn't you aswer my calls! I thought something had happened!" I couldn't help but cringe from the anger seeping into his voice but i felt some comfort at the fact i could also hear the concern behind his words.

"I'm sorry Theo."

" So you should be! Do you have any idea how worried i was about you!... Wait, What? You're sorry? What why?"

"I'm sorry for not answering your calls. I just couldn't. After yesterday, i don't know what to say to you. It's just such a shock. Yano?" I couln't stop the sobs from escaping my body and the tears that began to fall freely from my eyes.

"Aw, Tara. Don't cry. Shh, it's ok. Look i'm coming over? Is that okay? I'll be there in ten minutes, Love you" Before i could reply, he hung up the conversation and i was left to my thoughts. He said he loved me. Did he mean it? We didn't know eachother. He couldn't love me could he? Do i love him? No, I don't think i do anyway.

You do love him. We both do.

Oh Great. My wolf thinks we love him. Could things get worse?

Of course they can. You have found the only man who will ever truly love you and not another soul. The man who is connected to us and he said he loves you. This isn't a bad thing. It's the best thing to happen to us yet!

Theo's POV

Hanging up the phone, i realised what i had just said. I told my mate i loved her. Ergh, my stupid wolf took control of me again and told her that but i don't love her. I can't have a mate. It's not safe. Pulling into the empty drive at Tara's house and shutting off the engine, i wondered how i should approach her now that i let my tongue slip. I'm here to comfort her and explain everything so she'll understand why i'll reject her.

I looked up as i saw the door opening the reveal the goddess that is my mate. Even stood there in her PJ's, she was absoloutly beautiful. I've never seen beauty like her and those eyes. Those eyes of hers just call my name and i can't help but fall into them. Well, i'd better get this over with. Stepping out the car and turning to look at her, i was suprised when i heard her speak.

"Why did you say you loved me? Did you mean it? Infact, i don't want to know the answer." She turned on her heel and headed back into the house leaving the door open for me to follow her but i couldn't, my feet were rooted to the ground below me. The way she had just come out and asked me that, then the way she regretted the question shocked me. I could hear the pain in her voice as she told me to forget what she had asked and it was then i realised, i truly did care for her. I don't want her to feel pain because of me and that's exactly why i have to reject her. To stop myself from hurting her. Her eyes had glazed over just before she headed back into the house showing me all the emotions she was feeling. They held love for me and happiness that i was here, but when they glaze dover they showed the pain, fear and regret she was feeling. I knew she would be regretting her question but what did she have to fear?

Maybe she fears you. Maybe she fears your rejection.

She doesn't does she? She knows i'm going to her reject her? But why would she think that. Why would she doubt me?
