Theo's POV
As I sat and moped over the fact she had left I decided I wanted some alcohol. Using the mind link I decided to have someone bring it to me.
'Scott?'
'Yeah mate'
'That's Alpha, Scott'
'Sorry boss'
'Bring me four bottles of jd!'
'Jd? What?'
'Jack Daniels'
'Why? What's happened?' Scott's tone didn't please me. It sounded demanding and that was something my wolf didn't like.
'JUST SHUT UP AND BRING ME THE GOD DAMN DRINK'
I didn't mean to but I had just asserted an Alpha command on my best friend and beta. I let an ashamed sigh escape me as I realised how snappy and aggressive I was without Tara by my side.
Fifteen minutes later, Scott was at the door with two sainsburys bags. They each contained two, litre bottles of Jack Daniels. I have him a curt nod to show my thanks. The alcohol couldn't make me drunk, however I could at least get a kick out of it. Were's could only get drunk with a certain type of Alcohol induced drink but for the Alpha it was almost an impossibility. The more I drank the more I realised how much I missed Tara. She was my everything now. I would give her everything. I was only trying to give her, her share of the pack but she threw it back at me. Now that wasn't good enough.
She actually ran away from me. I still can't believe it. She ran. She needs to learn her place. She is my mate and she belongs to me. That means I am in charge and she can't tell me what I can or can't do even when it involves her. As the anger coursed through my veins, replacing the numbing of the alcohol, I felt the need to hunt.
I leapt from my window, morphing into my wolf and took off at a phenomenal speed toward the woods. My wolf instincts took over as I prowled through the trees looking for my prey. I crouched to the ground and just listened to my surroundings. After a couple of moments, I could hear a slight commotion to my right. I sprang from my place and delved deeper into the trees.
The closer to the source of the sound I got, the stronger the scent of bear began to hit me but something wasn't right. It smelt like Tara too. Maybe she just ran through this way? From behind a bush I could see a young grizzly cub and it's mother. The scents filling the clearing were nauseating. There was just too many. The cub, it's mother, Tara and a bunch of other wild wolves.
I crept through the undergrowth toward the young cub while its mother wasnt watching. I was only a few feet away when the cub spotted me and looked at me quizzically before pottering over. His act alone had me puzzled, no cub would approach a wolf? Especially not an angry were in prey mode. The closer the cub got to me the strong the Tara's scent hit me and I knew instantly her scent was on the cub. That must be why he seemed so calm around me, he'd already ran into one of us. But why was Tara's scent mingled with that of the other wolves? They would never attack a were but for some reason the scents lingered together.
I walked into the clearing making myself known to the cubs mother. To assure her I was of know harm, I bowed my head at her and licked the cubs face before sniffing the air. I locked onto Tara's scent. Before I took off in the same direction my mate had travelled I shot another respective bow at the bears and then began to race through the woods.
