Chapter 10 - Beast of the Wind

Sixth Group:

Edward - Multipotence
Tempest - Requiem
Alasdair - Onkukuo

3rd Person's POV:

Edward and Tempest waited for an update on their new friend "Edward"

Seeing him taking his time, the decided to take a break after their tiring investigation in which it wasn't really an investigation, more like goofing around.

"Wait.... I see something" Edward closed his eyes, he feels like he's seeing something but it's really hard to tell since his vision is getting blurry.

He's not used in using his power for a long time, but this might be his chance of increasing his use of ability for a long time.

"What did you see?" Asked Tempest in a gentle manner like the gentle girl she is.

"I know that there's a demon in here, you two might have sensed it already but I really can't tell where it is... I'm confused" Edward soon disabled his power.

"Well we can't let that monster wander around here, who knows what kind of power it holds" Tempest began to worry a little.

"From what I know it's power is pathetic, and so are the both of you because you can't even point out where it's hiding" alasdair stood up and began to look for the monster himself.

"I'm sorry" Edward became shy once more hearing these words coming from alasdair made him feel unwanted.

"Don't worry about him Edward, he just lacks social skills... That's why he acts like that, let's just focus on the monster we're currently hunting on okay?" Tempest helped the said male to stand up and gave him a polite smile.

Tempest was a bright sun in Edward's eyes, he just met her a couple of days ago and she's actually very kind to him

He never received any type of treatment to his old friends when he was young.

"Alright."

Once more the group decided to search for the beast who wasn't visible, this might be very hard since no one can point where it was lingering.

Little do they know that the beast they're after is just right under their noses.

Few moments passed until alasdair felt something bump into him, he immediately thought it was his companions but seeing them very far away from him and talking with each other, he figured out that something else was with them.

He stopped in the middle of his tracks and waited for the thing earlier to bump him once more.

Edward and Tempest both rose brows seeing him act differently, of course they still don't know his personality but he acts kind of.... Weird?

"If you two idiots are playing a prank on me you better stop that, I'm getting furious I tell ya!" Alasdair growled at the two.

"Trust us or not it's up to you, we're not using our magic on you, especially edward since his power isn't technically for fighting" Tempest defended both of them against alasdair.

"I'm still not convinced, you better prove yourselves to me or else" alasdair snapped his finger twice and knives appeared and floated behind him.

He took a piece of the knife and aimed it at Tempest.

'You're weird you know that" in which Tempest mumbled under her breath.

The mysterious force once more attacked alasdair, but this time it was feeling bold and began to strike him a few times in which made Tempest and Edward's eyes widened.

"Now that's unusual"

The actions of it made alasdair more than furious, he began to throw the knives at different direction, a knife almost hit Edward, luckily he managed to dodge it.

"You really need to calm down alasdair, being reckless won't help us" Tempest warned.

"I don't care! This can only be that beast's doing" in alasdair's said words, the force soon grabbed edward while he was fully distracted with the two arguing.

"AHHHHH!" He shouted as he was pulled upwards.

"Edward!" In which Tempest called.

"The beast!" Alasdair followed.

The two of them now knew what this beast was made of.

"It can fuse itself with the wind?" Alasdair was a bit confused.

"That question I would like to answer but now's not the time! We have to help edward before that fog steals him away!" Tempest shouted in which she summoned her weapon hoping that she might at least make the beast let edward go.

"Alasdair! Help me out here!" Tempest asked the said male's assistance in which he obeyed immediately.

He began to throw knives over and over but it was useless for it keeps passing over it's body.

Tempest kept on doing her best in taking edward back until she saw something on edward's clothes.

She noticed that the beast was pulling grabbing him by the clothes and not using some sort of telepathy.

Tempest carefully calculated her aim and with the right moment she managed to tear the part of the cloth in where edward was being held on.

He screamed as he fell down but alasdair managed to catch him right on time.

Tempest returned down as the fog dissapeared, it may have managed to make itself invisible but they can still feel it's presence waiting for an opening again.

"So this beast was made out of wind?" Edward asked.

"Yep, and I would say it gave us the upper hand" Tempest saying confidently.

"How?" Alasdair said seeing how Tempest confidently raised her arm.

"Just watch"

Tempest raised her lance with both hand grabbing it's body.

"I call the assistance of the wind.

Infuse yourself with light.

The brightest of light.

In which will now help us perish this cursed being"

Her said incantation created a vortex of wind in which caged the three of them along with the mysterious fog.

The fog was dragged endlessly until the wind was infused with light completely dispelling it's effect and killing it after.

The vortex finally stopped as Tempest released a pleased sigh.

"That was awesome!" Edward complimented seeing Tempest smile after her victory.

"It was sure impressive, but tell me, how did you know that would work?" Alasdair gave a faint smile as he waited for an answer.

"Simple, you know the saying of "you fight fire with fire?" Welp, I did that except using wind, now come on, we're finished here"

Tempest began to lead the way as they now headed back to where the portal was held.
