"Good morning Elizabeth! Come on, get up. We have church to attend." As Elizabeth gives Sharon the rudest look she could muster early in the morning, "like hell I am. I'm going to sleep! It's too early."
But, Sharon was not having it.
"You are going to praise God this morning Elizabeth Anna Voight. I've already picked out your outfit for the service. Come on sweetheart"
As Sharon closes the door, Elizabeth looks over at the light pink dress. It's not that Elizabeth doesn't believe in God, or hates to go to church, but all Elizabeth wanted was to sleep in.
Usually, the weekends were her time to sleep Until at least eight thirty. Lexi, Alvin Olinsky's daughter, would come over and 'watch' Elizabeth while Hank went to work.
Actually crying, Elizabeth feels Blue-Jay lick her cheek. "If I wasn't so upset, I'd be pissed at you right now BJ. That was disgusting, but thank you." Rubbing behind the dog's ears, Elizabeth gets up and gets dressed for church.
Making her way downstairs, Elizabeth fills Blue-Jays bowl and eats the food Sharon cooked. Sharon made Elizabeth her favorite thing she use to cook for April: a breakfast bowl that included grits, eggs, and hash-browns.
"Your mom used to love those," as those words left Sharon Goodin's mouth; Elizabeth slammed down the fork, and pushed the plate away. "When do we leave?"
"If you are done eating, we leave now," nodding, Elizabeth grabs the baby doll shoes that were picked out for this morning. "Oh, and I think it's best that's you leave the Blue-Jay, I don't want to him cause too much of a distraction."
"Oh yeah?" Slipping off the shoes, Elizabeth throws them at Sharon's face before storming up the stairs and locking the bedroom door. Pushing the dresser in front of the door, the only thing Elizabeth can hear is her loud heartbeat, and Blue-Jay's barking.
Pulling her phone out, Elizabeth calls Erin. Hearing a groggy "hello", Elizabeth breaks down. "Erin, can you please come to pick me up"
Alert, Erin noticed the loud sobs from Elizabeth. Noting that she is still at Sharon Goodin's house, Erin quickly goes to her find my iPhone app to get the address. "I'm on my way sweet girl, is your stuff packed?"
Erin ran straight out of her y. No shoes, just her wallet, and keys. "I never unpacked" Sharon was trying to get Elizabeth's attention, but Elizabeth was focusing on breathing at the same rate as Erin.
"Erin, I did something bad. You guys are going to hate me." Nervous, Erin wonders what Elizabeth means by the last statement. "I threw my shoes at Sharon, I think I hit her. I'm sorry."
Telling the young girl that it was okay, Erin starts to sing their song to her. It was hard for her to be more than five minutes away from Elizabeth when something like this was going on.
Reaching Sharon's house, Erin leaves the car on and barely puts it in park. Rushing up the stairs, Erin finds Sharon on the outside trying to get Elizabeth's attention by slightly yelling.
"She won't respond. She is upset, and you are yelling. I'll take care of it." Giving up, Sharon stands back out of her way.
Knocking on the door, "it's me, sweet girl. Are you ready to go home? We can make some red velvet cupcakes and watch DiCaprio"
Slowly opening the door, after moving the dresser back in its correct place. Opening the door, Elizabeth flings herself into Erin's arms. "It's okay, it's okay. No one upset here, okay."
Calming down minutes later, Elizabeth apologizes to Sharon, "I let my emotions get the best of me and instead of telling you how I feel, I should have used my words and not make big actions. I'm really sorry Sharon."
