After writing everything down on a pad, I ask for the time "it's four in the morning" shit, it's time to change Diego's bandages. Adam looks at me suspiciously,

"what wrong Liza?" I tell Ruzek what I need to do. He tries not to blow up when he realizes what all I will need "if you look in the truck of grandpa's Cadillac, you will find the bag with everything in it. My name monogrammed on the bag."

Hesitant to leave, Ruzek quickly comes back and takes me to the room Diego is in. Erin and Kim leave, as well as Adam. Kevin and Jay turn around, giving us some privacy and respect. "Um, Eva is needed as well, guys"

Bringing Eva in, she holds Diego's hand while I start to take off the bandages. I try my best to shield everyone from the marks on his stomach. I'm not an expert, but this isn't my first time having to do this.

Jay turns around at the sound of Diego whimpering "oh god" not saying much else, I can see Jay trying to control his emotions. "Kevin, can you help us turn him around in the chair"

Kevin comes over, I try to hide my hands, seeing that my gloves have dead skin and blood all over them. I know everyone has seen the scars, and I know they all want to go out and find Laura and her boyfriend Jim.

After it was all over, Grandpa comes into the room "come on kids, you're going to a safe house"

——

"See, this is why I didn't want to tell Abuelo or dad!" Sitting in the back of the car with Eva and Diego, we are being escorted to firehouse 51 until the safe house is ready later today

"Guys, it won't be that bad, at least we don't have to sneak around anymore. I was kinda getting tired of climbing down the ladder. You know, scared of heights and everything" getting a flick on the ear from Diego "I thought you weren't going to tell Lisa!"

"Hey don't get mad at me! Abuelo wasn't about to yell at you, was he? He came straight to me, and after he calmed down, Tonio was yelling. I promised I wouldn't tell as long as it wasn't an emergency. And it was an emergency Diego! If your wounds aren't cleaned around the clock you could get an infection. Would you like an infection, Diego? Would you like to go to the hospital and pray that one of the doctors doesn't call CPS?"

After my outbreak, the car was dead silent Erin opens her mouth many times to try and communicate, but she never speaks. Kevin looks lost in thought "hey Kevin?" Hearing Eva actually say something for the first time since we've been at the district was a good distraction.

"Can we get something to eat first? Maybe McDonald's?"

——

Escorting the three musketeers into the firehouse, they are all instructed to stay out of the way, and stay together if there is a call. Elizabeth wanted to spend some time with her dad, but she wouldn't if her cousins were by themselves.

Eating their breakfast, the three teens reflect on what happened hours earlier "can we just talk about those guys you were in the basement? If I had jurisdiction in Chicago, I would have arrested them all"

Still Irritated about where she found her cousin, and because of his outbreak in the car ride to the firehouse, Elizabeth gives Diego the silent treatment.

Knowing that he upset his cousin, Diego doesn't try to talk to her, the hot head would just get angry all over again. Seeing as if she got that trait from her father, as well as her grandparents, many people find themselves walking on eggshells around the young adolescent.

When Gabby Dawson comes back from a call, Elizabeth leaves and heads to her father's office.

——

Knocking on her father's office door, he waves her in while putting up away paperwork. Sitting on his bed, Camille finally lets it all out.

Calmly moving and closing the blinds, and locking his door, Kelly Severide sits next to his daughter while she cries her eyes out.

At times, Kelly feels as if he knows nothing about his daughter, or he feels lost in how to help her. He became a dad overnight, but he was giving it his all.

"You wanna tell me everything that happened? Beginning to end?" Nodding, the adolescent lays her head on her father's shoulder. She does leave out most of what happened, informing her dad that it was top secret, and she couldn't tell anyone besides the people in intelligence.

After saying what she needed to, Elizabeth agreed to sleep while her father went back to paperwork.

——

Back at the intelligence unit, Hank Voight was pulling every card and trick he had up his sleeve. This was personal, too personal for his liking.

Physically abusing teenagers, who just so happen to be his grandkids is something Hank Voight would kill for.

Antonio is going crazy. His phone was taken by Kim to make sure he didn't call Laura or messed up the plan they had just put into action.

The plan was to show up to Jim's house, arrest both Laura and Jim, and bring them in for questioning. As much as the whole unit wanted to do this Voight's way, they had commander Crowley hot on their tails when they did anything dealing with the case.

Burgess and Roman were at the Firehouse with the kids. Knowing that both officers are trusted by the teens, the unit, and the commander for the simple fact that they would do anything to protect the three kids who have grown on them.

After bringing in Laura and Jim, it was decided by Hank that Al and Erin would do the interrogation. Jay was emotionally unstable at the moment, same with Antonio and Ruzek. Hank would go in with Kevin after Erin and Al had.

Commander Crowley wasn't up there to make sure they did their jobs properly, she was up there to make sure everyone made it out alive.

She was well aware of everything that Hank Voight is known for doing, but she also knew this man had changed his ways.
