Sunday Morning. Maddie woke up early and got ready.
"Mom, can I borrow the car? I'm just going to Starbucks with Alice and Liv"
"Sure hon. Be careful"
She nodded, grabbed the keys, and as she was walking out a voice stopped her "Maddie?"
She stopped and turned around "oh, hi Dem good morning"
"Good morning. Aren't you having breakfast with us?"
"Not today but I'll be back later"

"Why don't you just ask him?"
"Ask him out? Nah I can't-"
"Why the hell not? You're such a badass! And it's the 21st century, please. You can do it" Alice said with a smirk on her face.
Maddie shook her head "what if he doesn't like me like that? I mean we almost kissed yesterday-"
"What!? You didn't tell us that!" Liv yelled.
"Keep your voice down genius. Wanna tweet it too?" Maddie whispered yelled.
"Look if he doesn't like you then he's as stupid as I think he is-" Liv started but Maddie cut her off.
"Don't call him that he's actually really smart..."
"Yeah sure anyway I can assure you he likes you back"
"But it doesn't make sense," Maddie said frustrated.
"What doesn't make sense?" Alice asked confused.
"He told me a year ago he liked Yasmine"
"Who the fuck is Yasmine?" Liv asked confused.
"She's one of the popular rich girls. She's blonde with green eyes I mean how can I compete with that?"
"You can't 'cause you're better and prettier I mean red-heads with beautiful blue eyes are way better!" Liv said trying to comfort her best friend.
"Liv's right. Come on! Be a bad bitch"
Maddie thought about it for a second and nodded "I'm gonna try. For a week I'm gonna leave hints and if he doesn't get it by the end of the week I'm gonna just tell him"
"I agree! YES, BITCH!"

Hours later Maddie drove back home to find the two boys watching Harry Potter.
"Holy shit why didn't you guys tell me you were watching my favorite movie! Honestly, the best Harry Potter film is The Prisoner Of Azkaban" she said as she sat down between the two boys.
"Facts! I still can't believe you like Harry Potter"
Maddie rolled her eyes "please don't start with that stereotypical bullshit. Even my favorite actors like it so please don't start, Dem"
Demetri put his arms up in surrender "but can we please talk about how the hell are you in Slytherin"
"Not everyone in Slytherin is bad or a bitch. It like if I said that you're Hufflepuff which you are but you aren't nice 90% of the time. See it doesn't make sense"
"She's right you know? Now stop arguing like an old married couple and watch the movie thank you" Eli said joining the conversation and shutting them up.
Maddie bit her bottom lip to stop herself from smiling and she started blushing before looking down hoping no one saw it but Demetri did from the corner of his eye.
He smiled to himself and turn his attention to the movie.
-Next morning-
"did I tell you Madds?"
"tell me what mom?" Maddie asked confused before sitting down at the table to eat her breakfast.
"well the principal called me," she said.
"she did? why is that?" Maddie asked and sent a small smile to Demetri who sat next to her.
"he wants you to show a new student around the school. they will tell you who it is once you get there..."
Maddie nodded "that's fun but why me?"
her mom shrugged and Maddie dropped the subject. "Good morning boys" she smiled at the two boys.
she finished her breakfast and ran to her bathroom to brush her teeth.
minutes later she was ready sitting down on the living room couch waiting for the boys to hurry up "yall for the love of god hurry up I need to be minutes earlier"
"jeez woman we're here you don't need to yell," Demetri said as he opened the front door.
"well if you don't want me to yell then next time hurry up darling"
Demetri's breath hitched once she called him 'darling' which he thought was adorable.

"I will see you guys at lunch" before they could answer she ran towards the main office.
she opened the door and greeted the middle-aged woman who was waiting for her "good morning, I'm Madison Moskowitz. my mom told me that I was supposed to show a new student around the school?"
"yes, he is behind you and his name is Miguel Diaz"
Maddie didn't notice the boy behind her she turned around embarrassed and noticed he was now standing up closer to her with a smile on his face.
"hi I apologize I didn't see you- I'm Madison Moskowitz but you can call me Maddie or Madds, all my friends call me that" she introduced herself with a big smile on her face.
"oh I'm Miguel Diaz nice to meet you, Maddie- you can call me whatever you want," he said.
"all right mickey come on let's show you around to not be late to class"
he nodded and followed her out "do you have your schedule?" she asked and he nodded taking it out of his backpack and gave it to her.
"nice we have almost every class together so you can just follow me if you want" she suggested.
"that would really help- I don't know anyone here. I can't wait till lunch for me to sit alone" he said sarcastically.
"nonsense! you can sit with me and my friends! trust me they're the best! be my bestie mickey!" she said with a huge grin on her face.
Before he could say anything she started talking again "if you want to! Of course, I'm not gonna force you to be my friend! I'm not like that- I don't want you to thi-"
"Woah Woah Woah it's okay I would love to. Calm down" he said with a smile on his face.
Maddie blushed embarrassed "that was so embarrassing I'm so sorry"
"It's all right don't worry, Bestie"
Maddie smiled happy that she made a new friend "all right then let's get going!"
