A month and a half later Maddie and Liv were back home. They got home two days before school started which meant tomorrow's moons party.
At camp, she made a lot of friends. And most of them were famous. She met Joshua Basset, Olivia Rodrigo, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and a few more.
Maddie and Liv appeared on Joshua's new video which they were really excited to be in it.
The first two weeks Maddie was sad because Demetri hadn't sent her messages or anything. She got really worried.
But her new friends told her that everything was probably fine and that he didn't want to worry her but that just made her worry a million times more.
That didn't matter anymore because she was now home and better than ever! She felt really good about herself.
Liv dropped her off at home saying goodbyes before she drove away. She knocked and her mom opened greeting her with a huge smile.
"Hi mom"
"Maddie sweetie! I missed you so much!" Her mom said hugging her daughter.
"Missed you too mom. Is Eli home? Demetri? Is he here?" She asked before letting go of the hug.
Her mother sighed and looked down moving a little bit for Maddie to enter the house closing the door.
"Demetri hasn't been here since you left"
"What? What happened?" She asked confused.
Her mom shrugged "I really don't know. Eli, your brother changed I don't know what happened- he has red hair now"
Maddie's jaw dropped "what? Oh my god- where's Eli?"
"In his room-"
She cut her mom off by walking past her to Eli's room "what the fuck Eli-"
She stopped when he saw his brother playing video games with Miguel. The two teens turned their heads to the door and gasped.
Her eyes widened and she smiled at Miguel "holy shit! MICKEY!"
"ADI!" He smiled standing up and walking towards Maddie attacking her with a hug.
She hugged back "oh my god I missed you, Miguel!"
"Missed you too, Adi!" Miguel let go.
"Missed you too sissy" Eli sarcastically said.
She sighed and rolled her eyes "actually I need to talk to you come on Pennywise"
Miguel snorted at the nickname "good one, Adi!"
Eli rolled her eyes and stood up following her sister out of his room "what's wrong, M?"
"Where's dem, Eli?"
"Who?" Eli asked confused.
"Don't be an ass. Demetri. Where's Demetri?"
He chuckled "oh that fucking nerd! I kicked his sorry ass- sorry sissy I know I pro-"
She got cut off by Maddie "what the fuck Eli? Why did you do that? He's your best friend-"
"Was" he corrected.
She rolled her eyes "stop that! He protected you for all these years and you turned to his private bully. That's so fucked up Eli!"
"Just because you're in love with that nerd doesn't mean I have to go soft for him-"
"What are you talking about? 'Soft'? The hell does that mean? Cut the macho man bullshit hawk" she said before she turned around and started to walk to her room.
His breathing hitched when he realized she called him 'hawk' "Hey Mads stop!"
She stopped and turned to see him "what do you want, hawk?"
"Why are you calling me hawk?"
She looked at him in the eyes. Light blue eyes, like hers. She knew her little twin brother was still there but deep deep down.
Maddie sighed "because I'm not talking to him. He wouldn't disrespect his best friend like that but this whatever the fuck this is, 'hawk'? would. so I guess it's time for me to start calling you for who you are...isn't that right, hawk?"
He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out.
"That's what I thought"

"MOM! I'LL BE BACK IN A FEW HOURS!"
"Okay, hon be safe! Love you!"
"Yes! Love you more!"
Maddie got to her car and drove to Demetri's house. she wanted to see him. she missed him so much. minutes later she arrived and got out of her car closing the door before walking towards the house a knocking on the front door.
"Coming!" she heard from inside.
She waited with a big smile but she was quite nervous. the door opened revealing the boy who made her heart skip beats.
"Hey, Stranger-" she said but she was cut off by Demetri closing the gap between them by kissing her.
She was completely shocked because she didn't kiss back.
Demetri pulled away "Ivy I'm sorry-"
Maddie cut him off by saying "don't you dare finish that sentence" and smash her lips against his.
Their lips moved in sync. Almost perfect for each other. His hand moved to her waist pulling her closer.
Maddie's hands were on his neck doing the same thing he was doing, pulling him closer.
They stopped and pulled away for air "well that's new" she joked.
"I didn't mean sorry for the kiss, Mads. I meant that I'm sorry that I pushed you away... I freaked and didn't want you to be bullied" Demetri confessed.
Maddie chuckled "oh it's okay dem. Hopefully, we can give this a try huh?"
"Hell yeah," Demetri said before pulling her for another kiss but she stopped him.
"Oh- maybe we should go in because your neighbors might get uncomfortable if they saw two teenagers making out, don't you think?"
Demetri blushed at the fact that she said they were going to 'make out' mentally slapping himself to stop his dirty mind.
"Oh- you're right come on" he moved out of the way for her to walk in.
She walked in and Demetri closed the door "where's your mom?"
"Business trip..."
"So you're staying here? Alone? Why Demetri? I thought you stayed at my house when your mom traveled"
Demetri sighed "look Maddie um- I don't know how to say this but something happened when you were gone"
"What? What do you mean?"
"Well let's just say your brother lost his temper and chased me around a mall wanting to kick my ass then Sam and Robby helped me-" he was cut off by Maddie.
