An uneventful week went by, well uneventful for some of them. Demetri didn't have an amazing week. every time he tried talking to Maddie she walked away or pretended he wasn't there.
When he rejected her he regretted doing that and almost ran back and kissed her again telling her he loved her ever since he laid eyes on her but he didn't because it was for her own good, right?
Things were weird with Eli or I guess hawk now... too. He was too cold with Demetri and they didn't hang out anymore. Basically, Demetri was alone. He kind of talked to Miguel but he was busy with sam.
It was now Friday afternoon and Maddie was hanging out with Liv and Alice.
"I'm so excited for next year you guys! we're finally going to be in the same school!"
"I know right?! I'm so excited! by the way, did I tell you I have a date?" Liv asked with a big smile on her face.
"Nope, you didn't! Oh my god with who?" Maddie exclaimed.
"With Eli or Hawk...I guess? Well yeah, he asked me out and I said yes...I hope it's okay with you- if it's not I can cancel the date-"
"Oh my god livvy it's fine! Don't worry! Actually I kind of tell him to ask you out because he's had a crush on you since like forever"
liv gasped "what? why didn't you tell me?"
Before she could say something her phone started ringing, it was her twin brother. She smiled and answered the call "hey E! What's up?"
"We are doing a party come! oh and bring more people"
"Eli um I don't know that many people but alright I will see you there..." she said and ended the call.
"get ready bitches we have a party to get to"

a few hours later they arrived at the party and it was full of people. "holy shit I didn't know my brother knew that many people..."
"yeah oh my let's look for him-"
"look for who?"
the three friends turned around to see alices brother, Adrian.
"Adrian?" Maddie asked confused.
"my sister invited me I hope it's okay..."
"no no no it's fine, please stay. come on let's go find Miguel and my brother" Maddie said before started walking looking for Miguel.
When she saw him she walked towards him "mickey hi! how are- woah are you drunk?"
"no- maybe a little...? Something happened- with Sam" he slurred.
"Oh my god- I'm gonna get you some water sit here and don't move," Maddie said and turned around to look for water.
Someone tapped her shoulder so she turned around to see Alice with her jaw dropped. Maddie gave her a weird look and turned to see what Alice was seeing to see her brother and Olivia making out.
"Holy shit. I guess that was long overdue- anyway please help me look for water" Maddie joked.
Alice chuckled "I would love too but Harry's here- so Adrian here can help you. Bye guys"
Maddie looked at her best friend ran away "you've got to be fucking kidding me-"
"are you okay?"
Maddie jumped surprised "holy shit- I forgot you were here I'm so sorry"
"oh my god no it's okay do you want me to help you look for water?" he smiled.
"yeah please that would really help," she said with a tone of stress in her voice.
he nodded and walked away looking for water bottles.
she turned around and kneeled down "come on Miguel just stay still please" she sighed.
someone tapped her shoulder and she smiled thinking it was Adrian but when she stood up and turned around her smile faded. Demetri.
"oh it's you"
that hurt Demetri like getting hit with a truck "hi Mads, how are you?"
"I'm fine and if you can see I'm kind of busy-" she said pointing to Miguel who wasn't there anymore "shit! see now I have to look for Miguel. ugh bye Demetri"
before she could walk away he grabbed her wrist "let me go" she said.
"please talk to me, Mads"
she chuckled "oh yeah? you should have thought about that after making a decision that I did not agree on, now let me go, Demetri"
before he could say something someone interrupted them "is everything okay Maddie?"
Demetri let go of her wrist and walked away without saying anything fighting the tears wanting to get out.
"what's his problem?" he asked confused.
she sighed "it's a long story..." her voice breaking at the end.
she felt really bad for being bitchy to him but she was still hurt. She didn't understand why he rejected her just because he was afraid of what people might say or think.
Adrian didn't push it "oh there's your friend"
Maddie turned around to see Miguel walking towards Sam who apparently wasn't alone.
"Fuck oh my god come on help me" she grabbed his hand and dragged him along with her.
"Miguel stop" she whisper-yelled but he didn't hear her.
Before she could get to him it was too late. Miguel pushed the guy Sam was with but accidentally hit Sam.
Maddie stopped for a second "fuck" he let go of Adrian's hand and ran to Miguel.
"Woah Woah Miguel chill! Sam are you okay?" She asked worriedly.
Sam gave her a dirty look and didn't answer just turned around and left with the boy.
"Okay? Miguel, what did you do?" She asked in frustration.
Miguel rolled her eyes at her and ignored her. Before she could say something Adrian finally arrived "is he okay?"
She sighed "not really..."
