It was Sunday. Moon party's today.
"You know Demetri- we don't have to go if you don't want to"
Demetri sighed and shook his head "no I don't mind- I've never been to one so maybe it would be fun"
Maddie sighed "but what if-"
"Mads, I know you don't want me to get hurt or something but I'm fine! Trust me Mr. L is amazing I've my karate moves ready for anything!"
Maddie snorted "yeah I'm sure you do"
Demetri smiled "I'm gonna take that as a compliment"
"As you should- anyway I'm almost done. I don't want hawk seeing you here I don't want HIM to hurt you"
Demetri stayed quiet. He was scared shitless of his somehow still best friend or the monster he turned to.
"Wait who's Mr. L?"
"Mr. Larusso"
Maddie nodded understanding "oh all right. It's good that you're learning karate. To defend yourself you know?"
Demetri nodded "correct, darling," he said in a fake British accent.
Maddie looked at him in awe. "That was really cute awe- anyway let's go dem. We have to pick Liv and her boyfriend up and Sam said they're leaving her house now so we should get going to arrive at the same time"
Demetri nodded and followed Maddie to her car before saying goodbye to her mom.
- They arrived at Liv's place and she was waiting outside with Jaeden Martell?
"Jaeden?" Maddie asked confused.
"Hey, Mads! Long time no see" he joked.
"Yeah- wait are you guys dating?"
They nodded and got inside the car "long story- now drive please"

They arrived at the same time as Sam and the rest of Miyagi-Do.
She met the ones who she didn't know and greeted her friends.
"I thought you said this was a small party?" Maddie asked confused.
"I thought it was..." sam said confused as well.
They all walked in normally but stopped when they noticed Cobra Kais.
"Holy fuck"
Maddie's eyes scan the room and stopped when he noticed her brother giving Demetri a dirty look.
She rolled her eyes and grabbed Demetri's hand to support him and gave a sarcastic smile to Hawk.
"Come on, dem. I don't have time for this"

An Hour later Demetri disappeared out of nowhere. Maddie was having a great conversation with Liv and Jaeden when she noticed he wasn't next to her.
Her eyes widened "fuck"
"What happened? Are you all right?" Liv asked with a worried expression Jaeden copying her actions.
Before she could say something someone beat her to it. She turned around and saw Demetri with the mic on the stage.
"Excuse me!"
Demetri was obviously kind of drunk and wasn't aware of what he was doing.
"Oh god no"
"What the hell is he doing?" Liv whispered to Maddie.
Maddie shook her head "I have no idea but it's not gonna end well"
The whole room went silent. Everyone looking at Demetri.
"I'd like to make a toast...To Eli Moskowitz!"
"Fuck no oh my god what is he doing? Ugh Livvy can you hold this I'm gonna go get him before my brother eats him alive" Maddie said giving her best friend her cup.
Maddie started walking towards Demetri but stopped when he continued talking "oh! I'm sorry. Some of you might know him as Hawk"
"But underneath that crazy clown cosplay and whatever type of Manic Panic he dumps in his hair, he's still good old Eli. My Binary Brother"
"Well, he was my binary brother. You know what he is now? A real zero" he joked.
Everyone started laughing.
Maddie sighed "oh my god" she whispered to herself and continued talking.
"All right, that's enough, Demetri" Hawk said but got cut off by Demetri.
"Don't let that angry red hairdo fool you. He's a big softie. We watched every Harry Potter movie together and he bawled like a baby when Dobby Died" he said fake sobbing.
"In the words of Eli's hero, Steve Jobs, 'I've got one more thing'"
Maddie got to where Demetri was "dem. That's enough all right? You're going to get hurt"
He ignored her and continued "have any of you heard of sleep enuresis?"
Maddie's eyes widened "Demetri for fucks sake's stop you're going too far"
Maddie looked at his brother who had a look that could kill you in a second "don't"
But looks like Demetri didn't care because he kept going "this is the medical term, of course. In the king's English, its good old-fashioned bed-wetting"
Everyone burst out laughing.
"Fuck Demetri stop I don't want you to get hurt"
"And Eli here is a pro. My mom even had a special air mattress for sleepovers and she called it... 'Eli's Waterbed'" He finished satisfied.
"Screw mercy. You're a corpse!" Hawk yelled.
Before Maddie could think twice she grabbed his hand and was ready to run but the Miyagi-Do's stopped hawk.
Moon walked to them "guys, stop. We're friends."
Before someone could do something the cops arrived.
"Fuck. Demetri let's go!" She dragged him along with her.
They got out of there and got into her car "Demetri don't you dare throw up in my car! Is your mom home?"
"No why?"
"Because we can't go to my house or my brother will kill you then bring you back to clean up the mess"
Demetri nodded "okay"

Maddie sighed "no dem- I I'm sorry- I just don't want my brother to hurt you"
Demetri smiled sadly "I miss him you know"
"I know you do"
Demetri shook his head "no you don't get it. I was always so scared to lose both of you. I lost my best friend. That fucking hurts"
"i- i- ugh"
Maddie didn't know what to say so she hugged him when she did he started sobbing "I miss him so much ivy. I really do"
"I know you do I'm so sorry"
"Why can't everything go back to normal. Why does this have to happen"
"Dem, everything happens for a reason. We will get answers soon. He will come back I swear"
