Loonatics: Rev x Tech

Talk with my parents

Tech happily finished his latest invention.

It was late at night and he was enjoying the peace and quiet. Usually, his boyfriend Rev would be "helping" him while constantly leaning over his shoulder, talking at super speed, and trying to use his other inventions.

But tonight, Rev was eating with his parents. Rip wouldn't be there as he was staying with some friends.

Although he missed his boyfriend's company--sorta, Tech was happy to have time to himself.

Rev shouldn't be back until later, so Tech had some nice free time to enj--

Rev zoomed into the lab, grabbed Tech in a hugged, and dragged him to the ground.

"I love you I love you I love you I love you!" He repeated.

"Whoa, Rev, what's wrong?" Tech said as he tried to get a good look at the Roadrunner's face.

"I hate my parents I hate them I hate them I hate them!" Rev said.

"What?" Tech cried.

"You'll never leave me, will ya Tech?" Rev said in what Tech knew was a sob.

"Of course I wouldn't." Tech said as he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. "What happened?"

"Oh Tech!" Rev sobbed."my parents, they're terrible. They...they threatened you guys!"

"What?" Tech cried.

"I don't know why but I guess they think I'm becoming too close to you guys, especially you and...and they...they said they had people who would make sure you guys didn't take anymore of my time from the family! My own Ma and Pa!" Rev sobbed.

"Oh, Rev." Tech said as he patted bim on the back.

Tech thought of his own parents, two sweet Coyotes. They were both very progressive and, unlike Rev's homophobic parents, knew of Rev and Tech's relationship. His parents had even started referring to Rev as son.

"Why can't my parents be like yours?" Rev asked. "Did...did you know Rip MOVED out. Turns out he couldn't take my parents anymore."

"That's horrible."

"What if...what if they make up on their threat?" Rev questioned. "What if I lose you, Slam, Ace, Lexi, and Duck? I can't Tech! You guys and Rip are the only real family I got!" Tech felt Rev tighten his grip around his waist.

"Please, Rev, we're super heroes. What are some business bodyguards gonna do to us." Tech said.

"I guess...you'll never leave me will you Tech?" Rev asked, looking at him with pleading, tear-filled eyes.

Tech snuggled his face against Rev's.

"Of course not."

"Well I don't know I mean how many times have I caused you to disintegrate fall down a cliff or get electrocuted I totally have let the worst happen to you and--" Rev stopped talking once Tech grabbed his face and brought it close to his.

"I love you, as a friend AND a boyfriend. That is all the confirmation you need." Tech said.

"Yeah, I know but...but what if you..." Rev said.

"Shh." Tech said as he kissed the Roadrunner.

THAT was all the confirmation Rev ever needed.
