Everything was going just as I hoped. I have to admit, when I pulled up and saw that guy walking in, I wanted to charge up and dismember him, but my father's words rang through my head, 'Ask questions first, whup ass later.' I trust my mate. She could do no wrong in my eyes, it's everyone else that I don't trust. All my worries got washed away the moment she opened the front door and I saw her lovely face. Standing there looking like a true Queen; classy, yet very sexy. I kissed her lips, and I almost marked her. That's how bad my love jones is for her. Amir was so nervous; he hasn't said anything since we've left the manor.

The ride home was far too quick for me, but it was also my saving grace; we couldn't keep our hands off of each other. I let down the window to give her a glimpse of the BraveHeart oasis and she looked as if she had been here before. Her eyes rocked my soul and Amir desperately wanted to break free, but I had to calm myself because I couldn't afford to lose my cool now. We walked into my home, and she fell in love all over again. She, once again, looked at everything like she had seen it all before in another life. Watching her left me breathless and I was fine with that. I felt her pull away from me, and I wasn't surprised to see my mother standing in the entrance of the living room. She was so excited when I was leaving to get her, she damn near booted me out the front door.

"You are the One..."

My mother spoke the words in Yorubic then bowed to Jehlani, a gesture I've never seen my mother do. Mama glared at Jehlani like she was the answer to everything, and I honestly felt the same way. When she called Mama, 'Your Majesty,' we giggled at her, but my heart melted even more from the amount of respect that she had. Mama looped arms with her, told her to call her 'mom,' then stole her away from me. I allowed a tear to fall in private, then wiped my face and followed behind.

Mama led Jehlani right to the dining room, and I was even more pleased with what I saw at that moment than when I left. The mahogany dining room table was covered with the purple and gold tablecloth that's only used for special occasions, and I didn't even have to beg Mama to let us use the good dishes nor the good wine glasses. There was a flawless rose bouquet setting in the center of the table and candles were lit, sparingly, around the room. Just as I was rounding the table, my father walked in wearing a black Agbada with silver embroidery and stitching; he was barefooted also. I guess if you have heated floors throughout the house, you can walk barefooted in the winter.

"So, this is the young woman that has my son's heart? Well, you are a lovely young lady." My father walked up, took hold of Jehlani's hand, and placed a kiss on it, as a sign of respect. Omer BraveHeart may be the Alpha, but he is a gentleman, as well.

"Oh wow. Thank you, sir, but I'm afraid all this flattery will make me skip dessert." She was so humble.

"Oh, well, we better stop, because I've made a peach pie that is to die for!!"

We have a chef, but Mama insisted on cooking this meal with her bare hands. She rarely cooks, but when she does, there's hell to pay because whatever it is will be deliciously prepared.

"With that being said, how about we cut the small talk and get dinner started, shall we?" Daddy grasped my mother's hand, and they led the way as I grasped Jehlani's hand and followed. We pulled the ladies' chairs out, then we took a seat. Soon as we were sitting comfortably at the table, my mother's questioning began.

"So, Trent tells us you two met at the college. What are you taking?" Soon as the Omegas poured the wine, Mama was the first to take a sip.

"Well, I took place in the dual-credit program and graduated with my associate degree in Broadcasting shortly after being ranked as number three in a class of four hundred. Now, I have a double major in Marketing and Business with a minor in accounting. From high school to college, I've been in charge of the school radio show and newspapers, but I know my purpose in the business world is bigger than that." Her eyes sparkled with such passion as she talked about her career goals.
